We had the good fortune of connecting with Faith Freeman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Faith, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Work life balance was a difficult goal to achieve while we were building the business. However, with maturing in age, this was an important lesson I learned and I think it came with growing older. Once I became a grandparent I learned that there are other aspects of my life that are important; such as spending as much time with the grandchildren as possible before they think it was not cool to hang with grandma.

What should our readers know about your business?
Primal Elements has the unique ability to pivot as necessary. We are a very nimble company that reacts to the marketplace as needed and also innovates for our customers.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Huntington Beach! This is our home and our work base. We are so proud of this city and the natural beauty that this amazing beach community offers. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t get to see the Pacific Ocean!
We always take our friends first and foremost to our beautiful beaches and of course our famous Huntington Beach Pier. You can spend an afternoon gazing out at the Pacific Ocean, and of course the sunsets from the Pier are endlessly breathtaking.
Another spot we love to visit is The Huntington Beach Surfing Museum. It was founded several decades ago by Natalie Kotsch, who ironically has never surfed. She was drawn to our incredible welcoming spirit and was captivated by the surfing community here. The museum offers views of many of the great surfboards and tells our local history and lore.

And lastly, The Bolsa Chica Conservancy, one of our most beautiful coastal locations. The organization offers educational programs about sustainable environmental practices and endeavors to inspire hands-on restoration of watersheds and coastal ecology.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I really enjoy the books that Faith Popcorn has written. She is so insightful and I think she helped us understand the ins and outs of business as we continued our journey. I also want to mention that my family has been my rock and continues to be the support system I need to keep this adventure going.
