Meet Faith Sycaoyao | American & European-Featured Artist, Executive Team Member of Climate Cardinals, and Philanthropist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Faith Sycaoyao and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Faith, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
In my opinion, success is a question that elicits a multitude of responses and points of view for respectful consideration. Nevertheless, for me, success can be likened to the delicate nature of a flower. It is not static, rather, it’s a continual process of growth and prosperity interspersed with periods of decline and eventual conclusion. I perceive that there is an inherent impermanence to everything in our world, which is why I believe the true essence of success lies in the lasting impact, the trail of one’s legacy, and the enduring positivity one leaves behind that can transcend generations. It’s about living one’s God-given purpose, which, in my case entails making a positive global difference to the best of my ability and becoming the most optimal version of myself that the Universe has established.
It’s clear that the world is being controlled by an array of factors, including shifting generational and societal mindsets, escalating poverty, receding waters, disproportionate access to education, climate change, and much more. Don’t you think that many variables are pointing in the wrong direction? Yet, there seems to be a scarcity of individuals ready to take meaningful action. My intent is to not only be an influence in this regard but to stand shoulder to shoulder with global leaders who are effecting change for today and tomorrow. I believe that with willful, patient, and generous actions, any child, elderly, man, and woman can bring about a positive shift even to just one person. And by bringing these together, we will see an all-encompassing impact, even if it’s just beginning with a little spark. Hence, success should not be just one-dimensional but multifaceted, ever-evolving, adaptable, untamed of changing circumstances, and open-minded to diverse cultures.
At this stage of my career journey, I see myself as only a budding seedling with much to learn, discover, and unfold. I understand that I am not alone in this endeavor; there are others like me who are still gaining insight and strength but are very willing to help cultivate and uplift one another. My aspiration is not just to bloom into a flower but to mature into a sturdy tree, forming part of a thriving forest that provides support beyond aiding underprivileged communities and children worldwide and being of help to my loved ones as I navigate through life’s emerging branches.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am currently completing my sophomore year of International Business and Economics. Presently and since last year, it remains an honor to be selected and offered publications in local and international media by fellow creatives and founders, so keeping up with these efforts and opportunities keeps me occupied at times.
Furthermore, as a member of Climate Cardinals’ executive team, I work alongside other Directors to present climate research, statistics, and news in creative approaches. Our mission and collaborative efforts are to raise critical multinational environment issues constrained by language barriers and affecting impoverished populations due to rainfall, wildfires, urbanization, etc. So, if you are bilingual or multilingual, we would be delighted to have you join our volunteer team in translating climate information!
My time also involves working as a volunteer Marketing Director, learning about business management and growth strategies, as well as how they operate on a global scale, art production, social networking, submitting art donations to fundraise for child-aid, eco-friendly, and poverty-related causes, and managing 7 media pages with million reach overall.
I believe my journey is deeply rooted in improving community livelihoods in economically disadvantaged regions so that there are more possibilities for children to pursue their aspirations. Looking ahead, I am enthusiastic about the boundless opportunities I can develop and discover this year, as well as the influential individuals I may meet and draw principles from their leadership. The world holds countless doors waiting to be opened, and I embrace the prospects that lie ahead!
In my experience, nothing ever comes easily. To succeed, one must continue to work on self-awareness, setting daily to annual goals, remaining true to one’s passions, and an uphill change to a lifestyle approach. My direction has required unalterable commitment, with weeks and months devoted to studying, practicing, and charitable work that frequently exceeds 12-15 hours a day. Overcoming these challenges has required the cultivation of strenuous effort, consistency, patience, and discipline.
The lessons I’ve gleaned are universal: irrespective of our backgrounds – nationality, upbringing, history, culture, or education – we are united by our shared humanity. Each of us possesses an immense ability to implement significant progress, and it is incumbent upon us to embrace our inherent abilities and utilize them to their fullest extent.
Finally, I believe my story encapsulates the innate goodness within each individual and serves as a testament to the enduring potential for growth and change within ourselves and our narratives. It’s never too late to infuse our stories with unexpected and transformative plot twists!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Good question! My colleagues have told me that downtown Los Angeles is a thriving hub with incredible neighborhoods and boundless energy. Given my current occupied schedule and even so, in the future, it would be nice to take a friend there for a quick bite. It would also be a significant opportunity to meet and network with remote colleagues from the same industry in California and spend the time productively learning about and sharing events or ideas!
Naturally, heading to Beverly Hills and Hollywood would be great with its endless options to experience their surroundings and recreational activities. And a visit to the Getty Center for a riveting blend of European and American art, architecture, and incredible panoramas of the city.
If time allows, a hike to the classic Griffith Observatory could provide the ideal blend of scenic splendor and celestials. As the sun sets over the city, the observatory’s telescopes and displays will provide an astonishing sight of the stars over Los Angeles!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Thank you so much for this opportunity! I suppose the first individual whom I would love to acknowledge is God himself. I am grateful for his faith in me, for giving me previous trials that propelled my learning and commitment, and the fortitude to persevere in the face of several adversities. Second, my parents for bringing me into this world and this culture from where I have found who I have become, learned independently of the world, and accomplished more than I could have thought in my younger years. Lastly, I’d like to express my gratitude to thousands of supporters, the founders, art curators, fellow leaders, and influencers from across the world, among them from Barcelona, Rome, California, Minnesota, Dubai, London, and more, for believing and uplifting me in my work, enabling me to gain further wisdom to thrive today and proceed far beyond my former potential.
