We had the good fortune of connecting with Falme D and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Falme, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I think of risk as the final piece of the puzzle. You prepare. You struggle. You sacrifice. You do everything in your power to get what you want out of life, but you have to take a leap at some point. You have to believe in yourself because that leap will complete your process. Luck and hard work are important, yes. But with no risks taken there will be no different result to the hard work. No one paves a new path without breaking new ground. No one breaks new ground without the fear of having picked the wrong spot. It’s all needed. Risk is the “chemical X”. Risk is the key ingredient to success in your own way.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The music is create is what sets me apart. My sound is unlike anyone else’s creating music and I’m even willing to say it’s unlike anyone that’ll come after me. I got to where I am now by crafting that sound. Constant writing, thinking and tinkering until I felt I had a real go at this. From there it’s just been consistent steps forward. None of this has been easy and it won’t get any easier as I go, but that’s the beauty of the grind. The lessons I’ve learned ARE what i want the world to know. It’s in the music. It’s in the words I speak. It’s in the energy i give. I want the world to know that creating goes beyond just making something. It goes beyond just being good at an art. Truly creating is changing people and yourself with art. That’s what I do, have always done and will continue to do.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many honestly, but I definitely want to say thank you to each and every fan that I have today that is constantly supporting my grind. If it wasn’t for the fans I’d just be making music for myself (which is cool too), but they help me grow with the feedback and support. I’d also like to thank my team, TYP. We all have been at this music grind for a long time now and the fruits of our labor have been showing more and more. The ability to look around and see all of us working to reach new heights separately yet together will always continue to be inspiring. And always a huge THANK YOU to my family. They help me create even though they probably don’t know it. I get so much inspiration from them. That’s priceless.
