Hi Farnaz, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
In my experience as an interior designer, I’ve discovered that the cornerstone of success lies in understanding and satisfying my clients’ needs and desires. Effective communication is key in interpreting their vision and creating designs that not only meet but exceed expectations. However, the driving force behind this success is undoubtedly passion. Passion fuels every project, igniting creativity and dedication to deliver exceptional results, ultimately leading to client satisfaction and business success.

What should our readers know about your business?
As the founder of Fera Interiors, my name is Farnaz, and my passion for crafting inviting and functional spaces in San Francisco and Southern California drives every project. With degrees in Business Management and Interior Design from San Francisco State University, I bring a unique fusion of business acumen and design proficiency to deliver exceptional outcomes for my clients.
Throughout my journey, challenges have been ever-present, especially as a non-native English speaker. However, I firmly believe that passion and a well-defined business plan pave the way to success. Each day presents its own set of obstacles, but I’ve learned the importance of patience and continuous growth in overcoming them and expanding my expertise.
As I press forward, my goal is to establish Fera Interiors as an internationally recognized interior design brand without boundaries or limitations.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When showcasing the best of San Francisco to my guests, I’d begin with a tour of historical sites such as the Palace of Fine Arts and a visit to the iconic Zam Zam Bar for a private and enjoyable experience. Exploring the natural beauty of the Muir Woods in the North Bay through hiking would be a highlight, immersing us in the wonders of nature. For a dining experience with breathtaking views, I’d make reservations at Epic Steakhouse, where we can savor delicious cuisine while enjoying the scenic backdrop of the Bay Bridge. To end the day on a memorable note, we’d embark on a bike tour to witness a stunning sunset over the Golden Gate Bridge, followed by a leisurely ferry ride back to Sausalito, where we can indulge in some delicious gelato in downtown.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to extend a special shoutout to my incredible professor, Dr. Karen Johnson, whose mentorship extended beyond the classroom and into real-life challenges in both daily life and business. Her support has been unwavering, and she continues to attend all the events where I’ve served as a panelist, offering her invaluable support and guidance.
