Meet Flo Rudoff: Spray tan specialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Flo Rudoff and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Flo, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I guess I wanted to hear my own voice. I was in my early 20s and I wasn’t entirely happy where I was (I was a manager of a tanning salon). I needed a shift, to have my own independence, to be in charge of my life. Running your own business is scary. It’s up to you and no one else, but there’s something really exciting about that and it actually made me feel better that if there was a problem to deal with, it was up to me and I didn’t have to go through the knot of line managers to get it sorted. I love what I do. To make people feel beautiful while we talk about everything under the sun combines my two favorite things: people and tanning. After every appointment I come away feeling happy that I made someone’s day. You can’t get better than that.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m a professional tanning specialist, with over six years’ experience. What sets me apart? The difference between The Glo By Flo and a regular spray tan is the heart and soul I put into my work, my eye for detail and my people skills. The hardest thing about taking the leap and starting your own business is being able to roll with the punches. When things are slow or difficult it’s up to you to keep going, and no one else. No one’s business is going to flourish overnight and you need to have hustle in you to succeed.

This shoutout is dedicated to the amazing friends and family that had so much faith in me that I had the faith to just go for it. It also goes out to my clients, for trusting me with their glow-ups!
