We had the good fortune of connecting with Francesco Sansone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Francesco, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Authenticity. Alongside that… Adaptability. To find success, I need to adapt my approach when working with different clients and at different events. I need to adapt how I fit and relate to clients all while still staying true to myself. I consider authenticity to be about being true to your intentions, your objectives and your commitments. If my clients can feel that from me, then I have succeeded.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a Private Chef & the Owner of SCG (Sansone Culinary Group). I have been so for the past 10 years and it has been an amazing journey.

Most people don’t know but I have a degree in Respiratory Therapy as well as my degree in the Culinary Arts. Those two worlds collided when I was asked to cook for certain patients holistically and the rest was history. I became successful in executing speciality diets while modifying them to each clients specific intolerances and triggers.

I have since continued to scale and evolve my client network. I currently have the pleasure of working and associating myself with wonderful high profile individuals, celebrities and brand partners whom each are in need of an unique culinary experience. I offer private in home chef services, large business/private event catering, consultant services, cooking lessons and staffing.

The path definitely wasn’t easy. The career of any private chef is a challenging one but from all my experiences the greatest, proudest lessons I’ve learned is to be true to yourself, be true to your client and to hold on tight when things get tough because nothing is easy.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Love this! So for some great dinner experiences I would say Bavel LA, L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele & Korean BBQ in k-town. I’m definitely gonna fit in some cookies from Bake Some Noise & Burgers from Amboy Quality Meats. To drink, Delilah (you know never who you may see there) and the tequila room @ Wheelhouse LA (shoutout my peoples over there). Finally to visit, I am huge on fashion and sneakers so shopping at Fairfax, West Hollywood & Beverly Hills.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First, I would like to take the chance to shoutout all the chefs, servers, bartenders, bussers & dishwashers I have collaborated with over the years. They deserve so much credit and recognition for being such amazing hard-working people. Most importantly, the biggest shoutout goes out to my wife Rachel. She has been my biggest supporter and inspiration. Since day one of my private career, she has been fighting in the trenches with me and has consistently taught me to recognize the value of my worth. I wouldn’t be here now if it wasn’t for her.
