We had the good fortune of connecting with Fredy Ramos and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Fredy, how do you think about risk?
Risk has been a driver in my own personal and professional career. As an entrepreneur, I think and embrace risk, as an important contributing factor, to taking your dreams and goals to the next level. Without risk you miss out on the possibilities of creating your own future, and you give way to fear.
I am daily risk taker making decisions and gambling on the success of my business. I enjoy searching for the next big project that will take my business and myself to new heights. This is not to say, that I always book the jobs, but I have had many more wins than loses by taking risks. Risk can be scary for many in the business world, but I consider it a motivation to continue being in the game and anticipating for the big wins!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Our ability to make sound decisions over our many years in the industry has given us a reputation as a solid business who continues to deliver projects and we value our relationships with clients, peers and vendors in the industry.
I am proud to continue building upon the family legacy that my parents established with Starlite Screen and Glass 40 years ago. It has been rewarding to take the business to a new level by incorporating new technology and advancement in workmanship. Including growing from a six figure business to over a million dollar company. There were many growing pains, but all were necessary to achieve the next phase in recognition and revenue. Starlite Screen and Glass has had many challenges but we have not seen ourselves down, we were either up or getting up, and continue to never give up.
To the world, Starlite Screen & Glass, Inc. was co-founded in 1979 by Felix and Martha Ramos, establishing a family owned business and developing two generations of innovators within the glass industry. Continuing the legacy, Fredy Ramos, Chief Executive Officer and son of Felix and Martha Ramos, has grown and expanded the company to a new era of quality and excellence. With over 40 years of experience in the glass industry, we have built a strong reputation by satisfying hundreds of clients. We have been servicing Southern California with high quality, eco-friendly glass products. Furthermore, specializing in challenging projects that focus on design, fabrication and technicality with the end product being exceptional.
