We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabriel James and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gabriel, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I say, do it. It’s all about pushing boundaries and embracing the unknown. I think we live in a world that’s changing crazy fast, and playing it safe might not always cut it. Risks can be, like, the gateway to great experiences and It’s through challenges and stepping outside our comfort zones we often discover new opportunities for growth and innovation. It’s not about being reckless. I am more about calculated risks. I am extremely analytical and calculated person myself. Like, do the research, weigh the pros and cons, and then dive in. I believe that some of the most rewarding opportunities come from taking those bold steps, but it’s important to be smart about it.

Taking risks in my career is, like, a must. Coming from the Startup world and being immersed in the Digital Marketing & Social Media side of things, I’ve learned that it is all about trial and error. It’s about not settling for the usual and being open to exploring unconventional paths. I believe in shaking things up, taking on challenges that might seem a bit out there, because that’s where the real learning and growth happens. But, there is formula to the madness.
it’s not about going all in without a game plan. I’m about calculated risks – doing my homework, seeing where the trends are heading, and then making a move. It’s the mix of ambition and strategy that really fuels my career journey and personal growth.

So, yeah, I’m all about embracing the uncertainty, rolling with the punches, and making career moves that stand out in a sea of same-old, same-old. I believe that I am a unique, creative, and innovative individual. I would never want to live not knowing what would have happened. Let’s keep it exciting, right?

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My professional journey has been a dynamic mix of passion, perseverance, and ambition. All qualities that make me up as a person. What sets me apart from others is my extreme dedication and commitment to being the best at what I do. It can be the Aries in me, but I am always competing with myself. My journey of personal growth is something that I hold close to my heart. It’s an ongoing process, and I take pride in the person I am today compared to who I was in the past. This commitment to self-improvement not only benefits me individually but also positively influences the way I engage with the world and contribute to the lives of those around me. Being resilient has been key. I’ve encountered challenges along the way, but each setback has been an opportunity for learning and growth. Rather than viewing obstacles as roadblocks, I see them as stepping stones, and this mindset has been instrumental in overcoming hurdles and achieving my professional goals. I tell my self, “When one door closes, another one opens.” I embrace every opportunity for hands-on experience, often stepping into roles that required me to stretch beyond my comfort zone. I believe in the power of versatility and adaptability, traits that have served me well in my professional endeavors.

Life threw some curveballs my way, but I didn’t let that define me. I hustled, learned from every experience, and made my own path.I want the world to know that determination can be a powerful force for change. It’s not about where you start but the journey you undertake and the strides you make along the way. I aspire to inspire others who may find themselves in similar circumstances, showing them that with grit and determination, they too can create their own path, overcome obstacles, and achieve success on their terms. My story is a celebration of the human spirit’s ability to overcome the face of adversity, proving that education is not confined to classrooms but is a lifelong pursuit fueled by passion and determination.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
An area I would enjoy showing them would be SilverLake. Very diverse, young and hip. Coffee shops to gourmet eateries. A breakfast place that is on the top of my list would be Millies cafe, it is DELICIOUS and not pricey. Check out the Arts District downtown, there is an array of trendy cafes, craft breweries, and unique restaurants. Me and my friends usually like places that have lined streets of different restaurants/bars, we are very spontaneous and like to try different things, so these are two great places to do that sort of thing. Of course I would take them to the beach, I really like Hermosa, Manhattan beach. Get a game of beach volleyball going and listen to some music on our speaker. It’s a great spot to enjoy a meal with an ocean view or to watch the sunset over the water. Take them to the city’s downtown area for its lively nightlife, numerous bars, pubs, and live music venues. Take them to West Hollywood for the dining and nightlife. For dinner there are many options in the area, one of my favorites would be Soulmate, beautiful restaurant and one of the best brunches in LA.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
From the earliest days, my mother has been there, nurturing, guiding, and loving me with a strength that amazes me. Her support has been my constant, a source of comfort through every trial and tribulation I have endured. Her sacrifices haven’t gone unnoticed. They all contribute to the incredible person I am becoming. Her resilience and grace under pressure are qualities I admire and aspire to be. Through the highs and lows, She been my confidante, my cheerleader, and my pillar of strength. Her belief in me has been a driving force, pushing me to pursue my dreams and overcome obstacles. Her unwavering faith has given me the courage to face the unknown and take risks, knowing that she’s there, standing in my corner.

Mom, thank you for being my biggest supporter, my guide, and my greatest ally. As I continue on my journey, I carry your lessons and values with me, a testament to the incredible mother you are. I am eternally grateful for a mother like you.
