We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabriella Price and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gabriella, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I think the most important thing that drives our success is our handle-with-care approach to each patient. At PLA every provider is trained and driven by the want to help & heal our clients and pride ourselves on our method & history of rapid results.

We spend time to get to know you and your skin history and make it our responsibility as a team to understand those areas to reach each patients goal. There are no scripts or auto replies here, we do our best as a team to be up to date on every clients current step in their skin journey and to be available between appointments to provide ample support to our patients. We want to see everyone succeed and I think the clients really feel that.

Commitment and trust between patient and provider is at the core of correcting any skin disorder. Lots of happy tears are shed on a regular basis in our office.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What stands my business apart from others is that, honestly, I hate facials! Trying to find the answer to my acne always seemed like more of a burden than an opportunity. I remember laying in some of these offices, just waiting to get out of there knowing my skin was going to be worse when I left. Because of that mindset and being someone who has never been one to preach about self care and luxury, I feel that I offer a more realistic and educational approach to skincare that I have not otherwise seen. I cater to those like myself, who dread their routines, who have late nights out and aren’t perfect, because neither am I, and with the innovative skincare technology available today, being perfect is overrated. I want anyone to feel like they are capable of changing their skin for the better, whether you are a skincare and self-care lover or someone who never had a routine in their life. I want skincare and facials to be more of an approachable experience, not some unobtainable lifestyle.

I feel like there isn’t a business owner who will tell you that starting a business is easy, but when you love what you do it does make it easier. I have worked 9-5 corporate jobs that were harder mentally than the 24/7 demand of running a business because loving my industry makes it so worth it. We had our big breakthrough during the pandemic by providing treatments to our clients at home! No-contact facial routines to help clients through their skin concerns in the lockdown was our “in”, and we thrived in the environment of innovation as we will do today! We have always taken an opportunistic approach to the business, and where we see an opening, we take it! There is never going to be a dull moment because there is always more to learn, try, test, and discover in this industry, and with the right approach and innovation, you can always remain distinguished, even in a saturated market such as beauty.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As an LA native – raised in the valley – there is always art to see and music to hear in LA. When I get a friend in town I use it as excuse to get to live out my favorite staycation. Grab my favorite coffee at Pricilla’s, then grab an iconic bagel sandwich at Hanks, both of which are in Toluca lake. You won’t find a better bagel, I promise! From there head down the 101 to Thousand Oaks and go spend the day at the Spa Relais where they run like a well oiled machine to ensure you’re at ease fully during your entire visit. Then, finish with dinner and drinks at Stonehaus next door, and if you have a nightcap just stay the night there because they are part of the cozy Westlake Village inn.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have many to appreciate but when it comes to results and my obsession with constant education, I have to give appreciation for the consistent research and active clinical evidence provided in the medical aesthetic field from my partners at Jan Marini skin research. They have supported my insatiable craving for knowledge in an array of aesthetic areas which has helped us be able to ensure we are always providing the absolute best in all things skin.
