Meet Garine Kiroian | Home Stager & Stylist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Garine Kiroian and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Garine, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When it comes to a any business or career, it all starts from a thought and a picture. That picture is you doing what you want in your head and seeing it all in your imagination, Then will come all the work that needs to be done to get there. I was in a bad place at my old job and was seeking a creative outlet. Always wondering where to put my creative visions to life. I have always thought that a space that you live in, sleep in, laugh in, eat in, always mattered on how it made you feel. I enjoyed my home being a beautiful place and the importance of taking care of it, its like self care of sorts. With my business this thought was there and it was very natural to come out and be seen. Staging and Styling spaces ultimately became something I needed and wanted to show. Something to enhance an environment, somewhere people can see themselves living and feeling good in it,

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My creative work is in transforming empty spaces into homes. Its making sure that whoever that walks through the front door that certain feelings ignite. Whether its cozy or a feeling of a belonging, calmness, and home really! We also love styling products too specially ones for your home. We are defiantly proud of where we have come and grateful too. I was a teacher before and figured out that it wasn’t my calling, and I suffered for a while till I figured it out and because of that I am always looking back and am thankful for where I am.
I believe in hands on work, foot work, and truly putting yourself out there.
Nothing good is ever easy, I was very disciplined and had a good vision of what and how to start everything. I worked during my lunch hours, nights, and weekends till my business was on its feet for me to quit my teaching career.
I always look back and see how far my vision and sense of style of come along. Always wanting to grow and having the room to grow and learn. I have learned from feedback and myself in making mistakes but always wanting to do better.
I absolutely love what I do. stepping back and seeing these homes shine brings me joy. Having the opportunity to show and give ideas to people on how certain spaces can look is so fun. That’s writing my story in itself! I wholeheartedly think your environment can change your mood and enhance too!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am an LA girl so there is always something fun to do around. I also love to take care of myself too. So I would defiantly take a friend to the Arboretum they have beautiful plants and classes a place you can really relax, walk and see animals in there nature too.
The beach is always a good idea. Newport is my favorite take a good book, picnic, and a nice stroll with the sea salt air is so rejuvenating.
I also love yoga so that has to be in the itinerary, sage yoga in Monrovia is amazing. fallowed by some boba and I absolutely love the Loose Teas in Monrovia. Its a family owned spot with I think the best matcha.
LACMA for good inspiration. The exhibits there are always so fabulous and so amusing.
Food wise I usually cook at home because everything typically taste better when I cook. However there are a few bites I love. Guss’s BBQ in Pasadena a an ultimate fave. Will defiantly dine at El Torito’s in Pasadena a good Mexican place I always recommend. Thai cuisine at daisy mint in Pasadena is a good stop too for dinner.
For dessert which is my favorite part will be a strawberry mochi at jj bakery in Arcadia so delicious.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely! I have two shoutouts, first one being my husband that encouraged and supported me with staring Kiro Staging and Design. He also helped me a lot specially when I first started and still helps when I need him. He is my solid go to guy and forever am thankful for him believing in me. Second is my Mom who I get most of my vision genes from! I grew in a home where my Mom always had niche for making our home beautiful ,clean, and inviting. She actually sometimes comes with me on my walk throughs and its so fun having her input too.
