We had the good fortune of connecting with Gary Motykie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gary, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
One thing most people outside the industry don’t realize is that not all plastic surgery procedures are actually being performed by board-certified plastic surgeons. In fact, many procedures are carried out by doctors from unrelated fields—sometimes even with very little surgical training—simply because the demand for aesthetics is so high. That’s why patients need to do their research and make sure they’re in the hands of a true specialist.

Another thing that’s changing rapidly, and that most people don’t see coming, is how regenerative medicine is merging with plastic surgery. We’re no longer just cutting and sewing—we’re now able to integrate stem cells, exosomes, and growth factors into procedures to enhance healing, improve outcomes, and create results that are not only more natural, but also longer-lasting. The future of plastic surgery isn’t just about altering form, it’s about restoring function and vitality from the inside out.

What should our readers know about your business?
My practice is unique because it bridges the worlds of traditional facial plastic surgery and cutting-edge regenerative medicine. We don’t just focus on lifting or reshaping the face—we also work to restore and rejuvenate it from within, using therapies like stem cells, exosomes, and advanced biologics. That combination allows us to deliver results that are not only more natural, but also longer-lasting and healthier for the patient overall.

What I’m most proud of is that this vision has grown into a team and a brand that patients trust. It wasn’t easy—early on, I faced skepticism for pushing boundaries and exploring regenerative approaches before they were widely accepted. But by staying committed to science, patient safety, and innovation, we’ve been able to prove that this integrative model works.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that success comes from perseverance and staying true to your philosophy, even when the industry or trends try to push you in another direction.

What I want people to know about me and my brand is simple: our goal is not to change who you are, but to help you look and feel like the best version of yourself—through artistry, advanced science, and a genuine respect for each patient’s individuality.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When friends come to visit, I like to show them the side of LA that I actually enjoy. I’m a big comedy fan, so we’ll usually hit The Comedy Store or The Laugh Factory—I go pretty often myself, and it’s always a good night. For dinner, I love Alba on Melrose, and if we want something more low-key, Pace in Laurel Canyon is a great spot.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d have to give credit to my patients first—they trust me, and that drives everything I do. I’m also grateful for my team, because none of this happens without their dedication. And finally, I’d recognize my mentors in plastic surgery and the innovators in regenerative medicine who continue to inspire me to push the field forward.
