We had the good fortune of connecting with Gary Trudell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gary, what do you attribute your success to?
We focus entirely on service and integrity. Our main goal and mission is to help people sleep better and ensure they are comfortable. Because of this care we provide each client, most of our business is referral and repeat.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Founded over 35 years ago in Southern California by the Trudell family, Custom Comfort Mattress is rooted in traditional American craftsmanship and the pursuit of the ultimate in personalized and luxurious comfort. Custom Comfort Mattress specializes in handcrafting double-sided mattresses using premium, all-natural, and organic materials, with each mattress tailored to our customers’ individual sleep needs for timeless comfort and support. At Custom Comfort Mattress, designing and crafting the best sleep solutions for rejuvenating, healthy rest is more than just a mission—it’s an art form. Our signature services include guiding our customers to their perfect match with a Personal Mattress Fitting by a sleep concierge at one of our eight beautiful SoCal showrooms and completing the experience with complimentary white glove delivery and setup.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Los Angeles is filled with so many different moving parts. I would take my friend on a hike to the Griffith Observatory or to see the Hollywood sign. Drive the PCH one day and visit Malibu. Take them out for a fun night in West Hollywood. Visit a comedy club on Sunset, go to a concert at the Greek.

Go for dinner one night in Silver Lake, watch the sunset at a beach in Venice.

My family has owned and operated Custom Comfort Mattress for the past 35+ years. We wouldn’t be where we are today without our amazing team. Whether it be with production, delivery, salespeople, etc, our business would not run as smoothly without all of these people who do a wonderful job.
