We had the good fortune of connecting with Genesis Moreno Balajel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Genesis, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
1. Listening to the inner screams of my soul saying to build a community of like-minded people 2. Honoring myself because the idea of starting a business had been a reoccurring thought
3. Masterminding a business name that reflected who I’m serving or what we were all about
4. Putting out content that was in alignment with my mission, message, and accumulated knowledge
5. Trusting that I am always attracting people who resonate with my business and happy to pay for my services
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have a degree in Psychology & Social Behavior and a STRONG passion for expanding my awareness, elevating my consciousness, and learning techniques that assist in mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual self-mastery.
My career has been fine-tuned by trial, error, and self-qualification!
When I was younger I knew I wanted to counsel others but the path and plan of action was totally trial and error.
My current emphasis is guiding millennial women towards honoring their desires by tapping into their higher-self.
Overall, knowing I am meant to lead and guide has come easy in the sense of just knowing but honoring my downloads, ideas, thoughts, and plans to follow through has been challenging. We all have a story we tell ourselves about success, failure, rejection, stress, money, anxiety, and it goes on. Every day, I am hearing my ego and my inner child which are scared to show up and create excuses… so every day I am given a golden opportunity to conquer my fears and go forth in faith.
I’ve learned that honoring yourself brings out many feels!
Honoring your craft, talents, knowledge, stories, and self is soooooo important.
There are many individuals ready to embrace your gifts and efforts. Nothing goes in vain.
I began with an idea of sharing with women “how to” grow from within (personal development) and I worked day/night on How To Woman for 5 years until I had a shift to rebrand to the Wooniversity For Women. Many fears and limiting beliefs arose from shifting business names and content but in the end, it was about honoring my desires to show up bigger.
As my dad would tell me in Spanish, “hay mas tiempo que vida”
Translation: “there’s more time than life.”
So whatever it is that you keep having a heart-tugging and inner screaming to do something, do it.
All the guidance resides within you and will reveal itself each step of the way.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
RUNNING SPRINGS, CA:
Many come to the mountain to visit Big Bear or Lake Arrowhead and usually drive past Running Springs which is located between both towns. This is a diamond in the rough filled with a welcoming community and lots of breathtaking views, trails, hot springs, creeks, nature, and camping. If you’re someone who likes to skip the crowds and explore open space, this town is for you!
