We had the good fortune of connecting with Geoffrey Bywater and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Geoffrey, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I just started managing Artists little under a year and I came across Madisonxoxo sent it to Nancy and she want to be part of it so we chatted and we thought it be cool to start a little management company from there and make it a family affair.

What should our readers know about your business?

I’ve been in the music business for over 10 years and have actually ran a showcase company called Make Out Music for about five where the whole point of the company is to bring light to the unknown. Many of the artists that we worked with in the beginning, didn’t have an agent, didn’t have management or anything and we’d just take bets on them and a lot of those have become household names which is really cool. After all those experiences I’ve met a lot of industry vets on the way, who have showed me the ropes of what it’s like to put out music in this day and age, and now we feel really confident and excited to be taking steps to start this artist focused company, Roadcase.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
You’ll probably see me at a new venue space in Boyle Heights called Moms or any of the taco trucks in that area. the food there is unreal. My current favorite is Tacos Don Cuco, and if you’re looking for a good burger, George’s burgers are the best. Honestly, anything anywhere in Boyle Heights is extraordinary and needs more love.
