We had the good fortune of connecting with George Janji and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi George, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I’m inspired by the people who developed chiropractic into a dominant healing force. It took a while, almost 140 years, and we were ridiculed a lot! But their conviction was bigger than anything else. This is why I feel I was born to take care of this profession. My family’s & my health has improved in immeasurable ways. I’ve met amazing souls along the way and I got to know their spines & nervous systems. I want to help preserve these sweet moments in the chiropractic-patient experience.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m fortunate to have studied from many teachers. I’ve always wanted to create my own systemic analysis, which really is an eclectic blend of their lessons.

It’s still hard to explain in lay terms, but it’s receptor-based: leveraging the senses to organize people’s nervous systems. The proper word to describe my technique is to increase clarity (coherence) in the way the body communicates, using controlled forces (low to high) to any joint called to make a change through. Joints are rich in receptors, so I tend to hang out there, but muscles do too.

I like to spend time in between ribs, where the muscles of respiration are located. In a world of constant chemical toxicity, stresses of the pancreas, liver and spleen show up in these rib spaces. The person on the table receiving care will often admit to tenderness that dissipates through touch-therapy.

The most challenging part was to have courage to be me. I think my fear was coming from “maintaining a doctor demeanor”, but I got over that when I studied the history of Chiropractic. The more familiar I became with my roots, the more people saw my authentic nature.

I’ve learned that in order to be extraordinary, you have to engage in extraordinary, often labeled “odd”, activities.

What I want the world to know is that I’ve prepared myself to speak to people at the level they are at. I also want people to know that I want to see them thrive; life will have it’s lows and highs, but moving energy through Chiro equips me to hold people accountable in claiming more in life.

Eclectic’s Chiropractic’s core values are:

1) Pursuit of Purpose
2) Appetite for specialized knowledge
3) Coherence in Logic
4) Deeply caring for Humanity

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Lets imagine by best friend lived in the East Coast & is visiting the West. We’d go to a Laker game one night for sure. We’d stop by my two of my favorite restaurants: Yamashiro & Castaway! I’d drive out to Big Bear and probably stay there a couple days, then go to Vegas for another couple! In my world when visitors want a good time, it’s my job to keep the energy up & show them a time they won’t forget.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout the founder’s book, DD Palmer’s 1910 edition called “The Chiropractor’s Adjustor”. Research on his life is being done in several countries around the world, but to read his writings is an intimate time where I can tap into his thoughts. I also have to give love to Dr. Simon Senzon PhD, DC for showing me how big a vision someone can have for their profession; he has worked tirelessly and recently was awarded a PhD. We can stand on his giant shoulders and do something extraordinary about this special thing called Chiropractic!
