We had the good fortune of connecting with Geraldine Bielke and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Geraldine, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Risks can be your best life teacher or a downfall. It all comes down to how you perceive them. Risks are a powerful tool, in my opinion. They are like a combination of lessons and challenges to me. Because when we master the lessons and overcome challenges, a beautiful thing happens – we grow as a person and are ready to step into the subsequent unknown with more knowledge. The most significant risk I took was when I quit my 9-5 office job and traveled across the sea to pursue a profession that doesn’t have a linear journey. Success may show up right away, or it can take years. But my motto is that life begins with doing what we love and to serve others by doing what we love. So, I had no second guesses to take that risk. Taking that risk also made me much more grateful and positively shifted my perspective on life and relationships in general.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I decided to make a complete change back in 2022. I quit my 9-5 job, left my home country, Switzerland, and moved to Los Angeles. At 33, I returned to college to get my degree in Acting for Camera. I graduated from AMDA in LA in February 2024. Since then, I’ve been very grateful for all the opportunities and support I’ve received, and I’m excited about what is ahead of me. Looking back, I’m proud of the woman I became because I continued pursuing my dreams with a humble and determined personality despite all the setbacks and limiting beliefs from others. As a child, I used to stutter, and I thank God that singing healed me; as a teenager, teachers told me I would be only capable of doing mediocre jobs because I wasn’t the best in school; well, I ended up having a degree as an executive assistant. When I finally found my true calling, to tell stories as an actress, certain people again doubted me. They told me I was too old; I was limited based on my accent, and based on that, it would be hard for me to be an actress in the United States. Despite all of this, it didn’t shape me into someone who wants to prove them wrong but into someone who wants to elevate people who might be experiencing the same circumstances as me. Everything is possible. When you show up for yourself, have faith in yourself, believe and trust in yourself and the universe, be grateful, and do the work, nothing can stop you.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a huge nature lover, so I would love to take them to my favorite hikes. Griffith Park, Tree People, and Colby Trail are my favorite hiking trails. My best friends and I also love to observe stars, be in the present moment, and have meaningful talks, so they would beg me to go on a trip to Joshua Tree. All of my best friends love to have a delicious brunch, so we would click on Google Maps to find a spot to have brunch together. Besides that, we would visit some museums in town and watch as many movies as possible.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We wouldn’t exist and succeed without one another. We’re all in this together, and everyone contributes to each other’s success. So, thank you to every single person who has been on this journey with me. This includes my friends, my parents & relatives, mentors, and people from this industry. I’m dedicating one special thank you to my parents, who are no longer around. But every time I think of them, I remember that they wanted to see me happy, be in love with life, and make the best out of it. This motivates me to continue walking the path that truly fulfills me, and knowing that life can be so short is a wake-up call that one’s lifetime can end at any moment. That motivates me to start my day by being the best version of myself.
