We had the good fortune of connecting with Gia Mirze and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gia, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The important lesson I learned is do not be too proud or afraid to ask for help. Although the ideas were there and I knew what I wanted to do, how to go about the process and the execution was a roadblock for me because of not knowing where to start.
Asking for help from friends, family and even investing in myself by hiring a coach turned out to be the most beneficial for me, which made the process flow a lot easier and at the same time provided structure and organization for me to see the vision clearly and have a successful business.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is Luvli Sol Candles, I am the Chief Chandler (candle maker) it all started in 2019 as a hobby of mine and giving candles to my family and friends as gifts. After all the positive feedback I was getting I decided to make it a business and since I love candles myself I wanted to learn more about making candles and the process of creating something so beautiful and soothing. I took my time to do a lot of research and testing to find the right wax, jars and wicks, the beauty in wax.
Luvli Sol is where enchanting aromas and luv messages will take you on a journey to wherever your heart desires by candlelight. The ability to let your imagination flow and see yourself in a place of total bliss is something that we all long for. That is what Luvli Sol provides, from the natural coconut blend wax to the natural crackling wooden wicks (giving you that fireplace effect) and enchanting aromas is a real treat for the soul.
I’m so excited about this because I have the opportunity to not only create something not only that I love, other people enjoy, but to also share with the world something that played a part in my healing process from anxiety/depression. The power that fragrances have for healing along with a luv message is very rewarding. Everything that I have learned is now being executed, the amazement is unreal. The feedback that I get from people is gratifying. Knowing that I am making people happy makes me happy.
Consistency, prayer, and the desire to learn was the best way for me to get where I am today. I literally have fun creating candles. Listening to music and making candles is a great combination, but there were some times that I would be concerned about having enough supplies, making sure the fragrance to wax ratios were correct, and the wicks were the right size, which was not easy but I made sure to keep track by taking notes of measurements, jar sizes, types and purposes of fragrance, and all in all just having fun creating. We are in the process of re-branding so that we can provide a better candle experience for everyone to enjoy. We coming with that new new!!!!!
I’ve learned to never give up on what your heart desires. With prayer, faith and focus you can see the big picture getting closer and closer.
The journey of having Balance, being a Lei’D Boss, and the smell of lavender for Soothe Me Sweet (a few of the candles) with aromas of sage, berries and roses, provide you with a sense of standing in your truth, knowing that you are a Luvli Sol no matter what. Not only do you get the wonderful aroma but each candle comes with a luv message to help whatever mood you are in. I finally got that message myself some time ago.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give recognition to my family for their support and encouragement, my church family the House of Favor for the continued prayers, and my business coach Ashley Watkins for helping me to see the bigger picture through consistency, organization and confidence.
