We had the good fortune of connecting with Giovanni Cristoff and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Giovanni, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
My goal is to have the career of Leonardo DiCaprio. He started out as a teen actor as I did. By the end of my career, I want to be one of the greats as my heroes, Al Pacino, Robert Dinero and Marlon Brando.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I truly believe I was an Actor in another life. I have been jumping on any stage that I could get on since the age of 2. If I saw a crowd, I would just start performing. My mother told me that at age 5,I would play outside with my friends, writing scripts and directing them in movies. I don’t recall this. Past life actions? I believe so.

I started creating my own 90 minute films on Youtube when I was 13. I told my Uncle, that I just want to make movies and express myself artistically for the rest of my life. He jumped on board and has guided me. It was 14 months ago that I made the decision to be a professional actor.. I called my Uncle Gino Montesinos, and in 14 months,I booked a Feature Film, and a Recurring Guest Star, on a Web Series. I was signed to 2 agencies, and a Manager. I am just getting started!!

The film Industry is not easy. Thousands get submitted for a role. Hundreds get to audition, and then you become part of the top 5 called in to meet the Director. All 5 are great and different. Then they pick someone else. This has happened to me 3 times already. I get excited, and then disappointed for a moment. Then realize that my role is coming, and to keep going. I love the art of Acting and telling human stories. Until then I will continue growing as an Actor and a young adult everyday.

I want the world to know that one should always fight for their dream. The best way is to create a team that could help you get there, such as family and people in the same field to guide you. Go get a Godfather or Godmother in your field.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spot near Los Angeles is Matador Beach in Malibu. I would take my friends on a picnic there and prepare for an incredible photo shoot. The drive there is a little scary due to the cliffs, but so worth the view.
