We had the good fortune of connecting with Giselle Estrada and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Giselle, how do you think about risk?
Taking risks is probably one of the hardest things to do these days, because of the fear of failure. Growing up I’ve learned to make that jump and not be scared. Taking that change, that opportunity, that idea will only benefit you in the end. The risk of being accepted in the beauty industry, while being an average artist was scary in the beginning. Now, I look back and see the progress of how far I’ve come. Although there is still a lot of work left to do, Mama I made it!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Gigilumakeup is my pride and joy. I love the freedom I feel when I am creating. My face is my canvas and the possibilities are endless. The confidence that comes with wearing makeup is the best part for me. I know this is where I belong, and I can’t wait to see what else is in store for me.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a big coffee drinker so our first stop would be at Cafe de Olla in Burbank for some coffee and breakfast. Next we would probably go shopping with the money we don’t have. Target, Marshalls, and Zara some of my favorite stores. For lunch, we can pick up sushi and snacks from trader joes. Have a picnic and watch the sunset at Vista Hermosa park. After a long day go back home and open a bottle of wine and watch a movie. This to me would be the perfect hangout.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Thankfully, throughout my journey, I’ve had a lot of support. I have to shout out my family for their love, and their constant guidance. Thankful for my mama for pushing me to pursue makeup. My brother for being my role model, and helping me with the business side of things. My friends for always hyping me up and sharing my posts. Thankful to Beacasso for introducing me to beauty shoots. Lastly, thankful to the man above for giving me everything I need in my life.
