We had the good fortune of connecting with Gladys Bautista and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gladys, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
The value that matters the most to me is Respect. Respecting each other as well as the earth we live on. Having respect for all, not just depending on someone’s rank or social status.. It means recognizing someones value even when they might have different views or ways of living. I think this is extremely important for me because even if you don’t like someone, or their choice in clothing, lifestyle, religion, etc everyone deserves to be treated with respect and kindness regardless of our differences.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What I am most excited about is a Romantic Comedy that I got to film last year with my husband, Michael Patrick Lane. We actually got to film it right after we got married back in September. It was like our little honeymoon before our actual honeymoon. We got to travel to Kentucky to film, somewhere neither of us had gone to, so it was definitely an adventure. We spent three weeks filming the movie and had such a blast. We were able to run lines with each other and spend every day on set together. We even got to share our first on screen kiss!!! I’m so excited for it to come out and for everyone to get to see it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spots in LA are of course spread out everywhere in this ginormous city. If I had a friend visiting from out of town and I had a magical teleportation machine the itinerary would be as follows: For breakfast I’d definitely take them to Cafe de Olla in Burbank. It’s a small restaurant but the food is incredible. Next, I’d take them on a hike. I have many different spots but my favorite is definitely Solstice Canyon. Technically, it’s in Malibu but the drive is definitely worth it. For lunch I’d take them to one of two cafes which are my to go to’s. Either Urth Cafe in West Hollywood or Aroma Cafe in Studio city. Both are great and have really great options if you’re into salads, paninis, and sandwiches. After lunch I would take them to Echo park and go on a Swan boat ride. Dinner would take place at HiroNori Craft Ramen for the best bowl of Ramen they’ve ever had. After that I’d finish the night by getting some drinks at Perch Rooftop Bar for an incredible view of Downtown.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout in loving memory of my father. He’s forever a part of my story and lives forever in my being.
