We had the good fortune of connecting with Glenn Marsden and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Glenn, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Consistency In building the imperfectly Perfect Campaign to an international level within 12 months, it was being consistent at being consistent daily. For 12 months straight I was almost regimented in my schedule. My schedule was mapped out and any white gaps were utilised to explore further areas that I needed to build the campaign authority within its niche. A typical day for me would consist of: 4am wake up 4:30am gym whilst simultaneously listening to audiobooks and podcasts on marketing, branding, public relations, networking 6:am ( I did construction 6 days a week 12 hour days for those 12 months) 7pm: Get home and spend 2 hours with the family before they went to bed. 9pm: Networking for 30 minutes 9:30pm press releases / media kits out international to spread the IPC global message 10:30pm Prepare the next days social media platform posts / record podcast episodes with US market (timezone worked well)
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Artist / Creative – Business I suppose having an artistic and creative flair – everything that I have been able to achieve with business and the organisation has stemmed from this. The imperfectly perfect campaign is a campaign based on visual mediums through photography, film, literature and music. As this has been the whole premise of the campaign it is something I hold dear to my heart. Through capturing International audiences and taking the message further, in order to continue the initiatives finances had to be made so learning business along the way simultaneously is something that I am most proud of and qualify in life coaching and areas of business modalities.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love Abbot Kinney in Venice. Laid back, chilled vibes and has the best energy. So so many great places to eat and drink, but probably id take them to Zinque just at the beginning of Abbot Kinney. An afternoon in the yard having great food and drinks. I also love to work in and out of Intelligentsia, again another great place with great staff and people. An amazing place to meet fellow artists and creatives.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would say over 285 + International public figures who believed in me and my efforts and got behind the Imperfectly Perfect Campaign and shared their stories and helped me further my efforts and to the public whom all continued pushing my efforts due to resonating with what I was doing in raising more awareness towards mental health and suicide prevention.
