We had the good fortune of connecting with Glenn Shelhamer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Glenn, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
At bedtime, I remind my children they can be anything they dream of in this world. I’ll be here to catch them if they stumble, and together we’ll figure it out.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
There are many good people worldwide, and we are blessed to work with the best. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of helping people buy and sell homes, investment properties, and undeveloped land. We’re still here and growing by keeping it simple. It’s all about you and what’s best for you. You deserve an advocate that can make a significant difference in giving you a financial advantage AND a remarkable experience – that’s it. The rest of the stuff that distracts folks ultimately fits in a box.

I’m happy to announce the launch of Shelhamer VIP Seniors. Our team has been designated a Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES) by The National Association of Realtors. Our golden years bring lots of changes. It’s important to consider the people you invite to be on your support team. We’ll listen to your story and talk about options. I’d love to share what our past and current clients are saying.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Los Angeles is packed with hidden gems. I’ve been a resident for nearly twenty years and still discover new spots in the city. Start on the Northeast side, wrap around to the beaches, then backtrack into Beverly Hills.

Griffth Observatory for a hike, followed by lunch and dinner in the Los Feliz village. Little Doms or Lucifers Pizza.

Make the trek to the County Line, stroll Zuma beach, or have lunch at Paradise Cove. Check out Malibu County Mart (a fun playground for the kiddos). Loop back to Venice Beach to check out the boardwalk and Muscle Beach. Enjoy a greasy good time relaxing at The Whaler in Venice.

Walk Rodeo Drive shops and dine in any people-watching cafes -Bon appetite!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout is to the woman of my dreams Yara Jasso. She’s my business partner, life partner, and mother of my children. She also happens to be a knockout. Without her sacrifice, dedication, and trust in me, I wouldn’t be the man I am today. I know this bit sounds cliche, but it’s true. Yes, I did the work and have the discipline when I wasn’t enthusiastic. I reach and stretch out of my comfort zone every day. Discipline and love is the key to our continued success. It became a commitment when I decided to go for my dreams as a testament to my family. Each day is a blessing. I get to show up and be everything I can for my kids, my wife, my clients, and everyone else I have the privilege to meet. Today is all I have. I’ll be darned if I’m not going to make the best of it.
