We had the good fortune of connecting with Gregory Kopp and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gregory, why did you pursue a creative career?
The artistic and creative aspect of my career blossomed with my writing and publication of the exciting Kopp Chronicles series of historical fiction novels. This sweeping saga is based on my own immigrant American family’s life experiences which spanned multiple continents, revolutionary upheavals, tragedy and ultimate triumph! The series has enchanted readers worldwide with its romance, mystery and action-packed thrilling elements; available now in 5 different languages. These deeply personal stories allowed me to experience a shared sense of family with my readers. The United Kingdom’s Queen Victoria, France’s Emperor Napoleon III, President Abraham Lincoln and other important 19th century characters profoundly affected the American immigrant’s search for freedom.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
An exciting aspect of my writing is the recognition I received from my readers, other authors, and publishing entities through social media and award programs. The Kopp Chronicles series of novels have been nominated for the “Reader’s Choice Awards” by TCK Publishing for the past three years. AllAuthor.com has also recognized my most recent three novels for “Book Cover of the Month.” In addition, Book of the Day.org and other reader websites feature my novels quite often as their “Book of the Day” or feature selection. If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The Los Angeles area has so much to offer in regard to fun and exciting adventures! Top on my list is a hike up to the Griffith Observatory or a visit to Hollywood and taking a studio tour to watch a taping of my favorite TV show. Spend a day at Disneyland and then visit the myriad of Orange County beaches including Huntington and Laguna Beach. During these tumultuous times, enjoy dinner in the variety of fine dining establishments up and down Southern California or do take out from the iconic In-N-Out-Burger or El Pollo Loco if you are in a hurry!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My consulting in the Media & Entertainment Industry and experience as a Talent Ambassador for The Walt Disney Company, inspired me to write exciting historical fiction stories for the entertainment of my reading audience, especially during these unprecedented times of lockdown and stress.
