We had the good fortune of connecting with Guy Nardulli and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Guy, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
If you love what you do, you will never work a day of your life. To steal a quote. Continue doing what you love that’s my thought process. You can’t quit anything that you tried doing, it’s always going to be there. I say this a lot. If you try you can’t fail, you only fail if you don’t try. There are times when you think to yourself what am I doing? Why am I doing this or that? Or is the struggle worth it? If you can look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself no matter what it’s worth it and you got this. Just keeping pushing forward.

I don’t think giving up is anything that we plan. Truthfully you don’t give up you just learn another way to get to where you want to be.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Being an actor has its ups and downs. Sometimes you have no idea when the next job is coming. But the love for the craft makes doing it all worth it.

I fell into acting. Wasn’t a career choice I planned on. I played football professionally for 7 years and did some fitness modeling. It was at a fitness shoot that the idea was planted into my head. The woman that ran the event suggested I move out to LA and check it out. Took her advice came out west not knowing anyone. Or anything about the business and got started. Met with a casting director and was on General Hospital and that was it. The bug bit and I found what I wanted to do. 20 years later I’m still doing it. And finding success in it.

I learned a lot about myself in the way of understanding who I was. And the ability to handle rejection. The business is full of NO’s. At first I took it personally thinking it was something I did wrong or a way I looked. Not realizing that so much goes into the booking process. I learned to turn the NO’s into a Next Opportunity mentality. This mentality help me star in a movie with The Rock, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Godot call Red Notice.

Through my life I was always told I was very persistent. In HS I was awarded the PRIDE award. It was a recognition given to the football player that fully embraced what pride stood for…
P perseverance
R respect
I integrity
D discipline
E execution
I’ve basically lived my life this way. Hard work will always pay off.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
LA is full of life. Or Southern California for that matter. It’s the only area of the country where in one day you can go skiing and surfing within a few hours. The restaurants out here are some of the best in the world.

My favorite spot to eat here is Yamashiro in Hollywood. Sushi is amazing and the view is incredible.

If I’m looking for a night out at a club. Have to say Avalon nightclub is the best. The sound system and lighting is just like a Vegas club.

As for the beach. Nothing like Malibu. Plus it would give me the excuse to get the best fish n chips anywhere at Malibu Seafood on pacific coast highway

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This one is simple. It’s my family. 100%. Without them, mom, dad, sisters, nephews and nieces, cousins, I wouldn’t be where I am at. Their support is what makes it easier. Knowing that they will always be there for me. Through the best of times and the toughest of times
