Meet Gwendolyn Osborne: Actor/entrprenaur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Gwendolyn Osborne and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gwendolyn, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I am from Bath, England. My mother is Jamaican and my Father is British. Growing up biracial in such a small city was limiting. Although I loved how quaint and safe it was, I knew in my soul i was made for a big platform. I am so grateful for the cultural diversity I was constantly exposed to as I was being raised.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Being a performing artist leaves you in desperate need for constant creativity. I am always singing or creating a song out of something while doing every day tasks with my children, wether they like it or not! I am always finding joy in discovering a new character for acting. After being tapped on the shoulder by director Patty Jenkins to be an elite Amazon in Wonder Woman 1984, I got to rebirth myself. Recognizing the power I had within myself after working on a set with all of these other wonder Women, I realized that connecting to other wonder women of the world was part of my passion I had to pursue. I love finding out and sharing health wellness and beauty tips! Being healthy from the inside out!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would have to take a hike, I like fryman canyon because it quaint and effective. We could always grab a tea latte from the coffee bean afterwards. I live harvest bar also for healthy smoothies and açaí bowls. We could hit the beach for some luck and watch the waves. I like point dume beach but Santa Monica is closer to everything. We could either stay and go to Lobster restaurant and have some yummy lobster overlooking the ocean or/and head to mama shelter in hollywood for a cool view of the hollywood sign with a delicious cocktail on their pillow filled, open air deck.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Tanya Newbould and Liz Svatek have lifted me up from my bootstraps and guided me into the entrepreneurial world with such ease and grace. I am in red grateful for them as I am navigating through all the things with my anti-aging facial oil Lomolique and my podcast Tea with Gwen. I love at More than me, a networking group of women with founder Tiffany Smiley and BH marketing group.
