We had the good fortune of connecting with Hailee Hutchings and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hailee, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
To just be your authentic self and too not worry about what anyone else thinks, just be you.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m most proud of my gift that god gave me to be able to share that with others on stage to be able to drum naturally and effortlessly. I’m most excited for my recent project to be finishing up and work on the next. A lot of new talented local artist I’m working with and laying down some fresh beats for there next album as well So you stay tuned for that it’s a surprise. Where I’m at today is all through just being true to myself and working with artist and just trusting the process. Personally it came easy to me because I stand out more I’m a female African American drummer and there’s not a lot of that, so artist will Meir casually hit me up. Lessons I’ve learned along the way is again trust the process there will be times were you want to quit and things won’t go your way but you just half to get back up and try again. If your passion is music and your humble about it and do it out of love and really just have fun with it and take it seriously I promise you it will all work out. I want the world to know that who you are is good enough. And just be who you are and have fun!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I grew up in a small area called Utah in the mountains and grew up skiing and snowboarding so I would have to take them to my favorite resorts I grew up working at that would be Brighton ski resort as one of them another is silver fork lodge they have the best tacos there, then I would have to take them to my local favorite thrift shop down in Salt Lake City called vantage slc the vibe is very vibrant. Another one of my favorite places growing up is lake Powell that’s where I learned how to wakeboard and surf etc
