We had the good fortune of connecting with Hailin Liu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hailin, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
I enjoy engaging in various activities that promote a sense of inner peace and tranquility. These include practicing Yin Yoga, cultivating mindfulness, engaging in meditation, and spending time playing with my cats. Engaging in these activities has the potential to induce a state of flow within me.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Being a recently graduated individual, it is not easy for me to maintain a high level of professionalism, given my limited experience. Cultivating strong interpersonal skills, which are essential for my job, proves to be a significant challenge, particularly due to my introverted personality. However, I have devised a solution to overcome these obstacles by consciously separating my emotions from work and making a concerted effort to step out of my comfort zone. Additionally, I recognize the importance of taking adequate rest during breaks to ensure optimal performance.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The Arts District in Los Angeles is a vibrant and creative neighborhood with so much to explore. Starting the day at Boxx the coffee shop is a great idea to grab a delicious coffee and perhaps some pastries to energize the day.

After that, visiting SCI-Arc (Southern California Institute of Architecture) is a must-do for any architecture and design enthusiasts. We can take a tour of their innovative campus and admire the incredible work done by their students and faculty.

As the evening approaches, heading to La ChachaChá for dinner is a fantastic choice. This Mexican restaurant not only offers delicious food but also has a vibrant atmosphere and lively music that will enhance the dining experience.

To end the night on a high note, visiting Death and Co., a speakeasy bar, is a great idea. With its hidden entrance, dim lighting, and craft cocktails, it provides a unique and intimate setting for a memorable night out.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I just want to take a moment to give a huge shoutout to my amazing best friend, Queene Xu! She is truly one of a kind and has made such a positive impact on my life.

Queene is the epitome of dedication and positivity. She always puts in her best effort in everything she does, whether it’s her studies, work, or even just being a great friend. Her unwavering commitment to excellence inspires me to strive for the same in my own life.

But it’s not just her dedication that I admire, it’s her ability to bring so much happiness into my life. Whenever we’re together, it’s like all my worries fade away. Queene has this incredible gift of making any situation fun and enjoyable. Whether we’re going on adventures, having deep conversations, or simply sharing a good laugh, every moment with her is filled with joy and laughter.

One of the things I cherish most about our friendship is how Queene has taught me the power of positive thinking. She has this remarkable way of subtly guiding me towards a positive perspective, no matter what challenges or problems I may be facing. Her encouragement, uplifting words, and unwavering support have helped me overcome countless obstacles and grow into a better version of myself.

I am so grateful to have you by my side, and I cherish every moment we spend together. Here’s to many more amazing adventures and memories together!
