We had the good fortune of connecting with Haley J and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Haley J, what matters most to you?
For me, it’s all about the feeling. When I visualize what I want in life, I try to detach from an exact picture of what it “looks like” and more so of how I want to feel in it. Making real connections with others in this world is the most important thing to me, so as long as I feel like the decisions I’m making are in alignment with who I authentically am, I’m good with that.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I currently work for a game show called Live Play Bingo, as well as a live stream host for fashion go and a host for the “Becoming Her” podcast. I moved to LA from Florida in 2018 and I was set to out to peruse a career as an entertainment host. I was fortunate enough to work a few red carpet gigs and join AfterBuzz with Maria Menounos and Kevin Undergaro. I loved the experience, but I knew something was mission- purpose. I didn’t feel fulfilled in that world and then the opportunity of joining Live Play Bingo arose. At first, when a close friend by the name of Yasmine told me about the audition, I decided it looked too intense and I wouldn’t be good enough. Thankfully, I quickly realized fear was a pretty dumb reason to hold me back and I auditioned, got the job and have been there for over two years now. The connection with the players is what drives me. That’s my purpose. Every single day I get to build relationships with people who are trying their best in this world and love the game as their outlet to simply “play.”

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’ve learned my lesson on this one. Instead of assuming I know the most fun experiences in LA, I’d ask them what they actually want to do. That’s why I love LA- there are so many nuggets that offer different experiences. If you’re more into nature, let’s hike. If you want to see celebrities, let’s go to the hot spots in West Hollywood. If you want to get down with the cool kids, let’s go to silver lake.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to shoutout my family, partner and friends for always being immensely supportive of my journey. From day one, my father and late mother believed in me and persuaded me to go after anything I wanted. My sisters have been my biggest role models and my friends have been my biggest cheerleaders.
