Meet Hanan Margoles | Photographer and Graphic Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Hanan Margoles and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Hanan, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Personally, I believe that as an artist, embracing risk is essential—not just in the work you create, but in the journey you take to reach your goals. Art itself thrives on pushing boundaries, and if you’re not willing to explore the unknown, you’re likely limiting your potential for growth and discovery. In my career, taking risks has manifested in many ways, whether it’s experimenting with new styles, mediums, or approaches that don’t necessarily guarantee immediate success but offer the potential for something greater.
One of the most defining risks for me was choosing to fully invest in my creative career—leaving behind the security of a day job and moving to a new state to start fresh. This decision was about more than just pursuing a passion; it was about trusting myself, betting on my abilities, and being open to the uncertainty that comes with following your own path. Each risk, big or small, has helped me break away from comfort and grow not just as an artist, but as a person.
Ultimately, risk is woven into the fabric of being a creative professional. Without it, you stagnate. For me, risk is what fuels innovation and keeps me reaching for the next level of my artistic journey.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My work in photography and graphic design is a reflection of my unique perspective, blending creative intuition with the emotions and experiences that shape my view of the world. What sets me apart is my ability to capture raw, candid moments in photography, paired with my passion for creating visually compelling designs that tell a story. Whether I’m shooting behind-the-scenes at an event or crafting a brand’s visual identity, I strive to evoke a sense of authenticity and connection in every project.
What I’m most proud of is my dedication to delivering work that resonates with people—whether that’s by capturing the energy of a live concert, showcasing the personality behind a brand, or creating visuals that not only stand out but feel meaningful. There’s an authenticity I aim to maintain across both photography and design, and that’s something I never compromise on.
Reaching this point in my career has definitely been a journey. It hasn’t always been easy—there were moments of doubt, times when I wasn’t sure if I was on the right path. Creative blocks and the pressure to constantly evolve have tested me. But those challenges are what pushed me to grow. Each setback taught me something valuable about resilience, adapting to new ideas, and trusting my instincts.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is to never lose sight or dedication to your passions, no matter what life throws at you. There are no shortcuts when you’re building something from the ground up. It’s about staying committed to your vision, even when progress feels slow or uncertain or it seems that the universe isn’t aligned with your plans.
At the core of my brand is a love for storytelling through visuals—whether it’s photography or design, my goal is to help people and brands express who they are and connect with their audience in a real, impactful way. I want my work to stand out not just because it’s aesthetically pleasing but because it captures something deeper and leaves a lasting impression.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Truthfully, I want to thank everyone who has supported me, believed in me, and helped me throughout my creative journey. Becoming a full time freelance artists can come with a lot of worry and criticism, but I am grateful for my friends and family who held faith that I can and will make it. In particular, I want to thank my best friend, Chase Hart, who has been there for me since day one, inspired me and my artistry more than he knows, and always believed in me. I love you buddy and am truly thankful to have you in my life.
