We had the good fortune of connecting with Hannah Dannelly and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hannah, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I think about risk In the scariest way. Because to me its the scariest part about entertainment roles. You are in this industry hopefully because you love to tell stories. But what is the right story to tell? What story will people relate to the most. What show has more of a inkling to relate to an audience. Every choice and decision every risk dictates how much further you can move along and or sustain a life doing what you love. Risk has hindered me a bit. I have definitely more aired on the side of caution and hung out there as long as possible. Until I realized I have to start taking risks or I will forever stay stagnant. Even if all your seeing is small successes those will gradually turn into something more if your consistent and have the passion and drive for it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Nothing about my career life has been easy by any means. But because of that I found other loves and hobbies to go to when things get tough. I love acting that will always be my main goal to win an Oscar and be in films that inspire people at home. but in the mean time I found a love for writing poetry and am just about to finish my poetry book. I realized I may like other parts of film and Tv I never even realized. I have a book I’ve loved for probably 7 years on my list. I am working on buying the rights when I have the money one day to star produce and direct this film. Nothing about my future is easy but the greatest rewards always have the toughest battles. So I’m always excited to see what is at the next stop and how I am going to continue past it to the next one.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So I’ve very much a home body this is hard for me lol, I love to read and watch movies and hang with my friends. I don’t really enjoy going out to eat and doing that sort of thing. If I’m going out I love movies, so I would take them to a cool drive in theater since we have very few in Texas and then a club because I don’t drink often but I LOVE rap music SO much and so does my best friend so we could bond there and then artsy things. I would take them to the art museums and find cool graffiti walls to go look at. Random places people don’t know about not the touristy places. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I will dedicate it those that surround me and help me grow in my field. But first and foremost the absolute biggest shoutout goes to my mom. Who has been my audition partner since I was 5 years old. She will be my biggest cheerleader always and believe in me till the day she dies. She inspires me and keeps me trucking along because I can see in her eyes how much she loves me and know I can do whatever I set my heart out to do. Next would be team who is so hardworking at helping me achieve my greatest dreams. Without them I have no opportunities to get where I want to be.
