We had the good fortune of connecting with Harrison Stone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Harrison, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Funny enough, it’s just good old fashioned consistent hard work. Growing up I was a competitive tennis player and I was eventually ranked #1 in the state of Alabama. From my sports days I learned that I had to work every day at my craft in order to be great. I also feel one aspect that has helped me have success is not being satisfied. Though I have had some success, I also know that in order to achieve my goals I have a long way to go. I don’t want to ever feel I’ve made it. I want to always be striving to be better tomorrow than today. When it comes to auditioning, I’ve legit done some tapes where I’ve done a hundred takes before sending. While that can be excessive, I want to push myself until it’s the best it can be.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am from a small town in Texas called Daingerfield. Its super small and I am a very introverted and shy person. I never in a million years growing up in that little East Texas town being the shy kid that I was would’ve ever imagined that I’d grow up to be an actor. And honestly when I started acting, I never really thought I’d ever get anything. God has blessed me so much.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I currently live in Huntsville, AL and the first place I would take my friend would be the US Space and Rocket Center. Its an amazing place full of history and really eye opening to what our country did with space exploration. Then I would take them to grab some amazing Alabama barbecue and maybe a walk downtown in Huntsville’s Big Spring Park!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family has always been so supportive of me. From day one when I started acting they have been by my side and been cheering me on. My mom actually has been my audition self tape reader since I started. Every tape I’ve ever booked has been with my Mom as my reader. My family is the best.
