We had the good fortune of connecting with Heidi Santos and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Heidi, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
If you don’t step out of your comfort zone you’ll never know what’s on the other side. I’m curious by nature and I know that taking risks is a big part of life. Growing up as an immigrant child I faced many obstacles, so I had to learn to be patient, resourceful, and persistent. Although I always knew I was a powerful being, I still got lost along the way. My whole life has been about taking risks from the moment my mother emigrated to the United States to this present moment today. I had to learn to believe in myself and realize that I was going to be the only one who had the ability to save me. I realize today that those lessons were teaching me that there is a systematic process that needs to take place before we see the results we look for. I somehow understood the importance of having to master the art of manifestation and that it mattered in which direction I pointed my intention because whether good or bad I was powerful enough to make anything happen. I left home at the age of 15, never to return. The risks I have taken in my life have made me the person I am today. I think the same as far as taking risks in my career. I put myself through school and have also taken several vocational training courses along the way to help me, as I like to call “level up” in life. This strategic methodical thinking comes from knowing that I only have myself to fall back on. Taking risks in life I feel is necessary for one’s success. Life without movement leads to stagnation and I’ve always tried to keep myself moving forward whether through working on myself or through schooling. I was an administrator for several years before I decided that If I didn’t change this mundane situation I would die of anxiety and overall bad health. So, I took another chance on myself and decided to go to National Holistic Institute, a massage therapy school. This decision changed my life. I learned that the healing arts was so much more than just working with bodies, I learned that I am a natural healer. The love and compassion I have for others and myself have really helped me see my ultimate potential. I started my company Health Is Wealth Healing, in 2018. It was a big risk but the magic has evolved into a spiritual journey that has opened up so many doors for me and is allowing me to live my most authentic life. I practice intuitive bodywork and shamanistic traditional healing, and I believe in the connection of body, mind, and spirit. I am a spiritual healer!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Day 1 We would start our morning kayaking at the Peninsula in Long Beach watching the sun rise and then having fruit for breakfast while enjoying a slow moving morning, then, for lunch I would love to have mediterranean food at Taboon in bixby knolls, moving our way up to a nice stroll around the neighborhood. Then hitting a local museum in Long Beach, a place like MOLA, Long Beach museum or even the aquarium of Long Beach.
Day 2
Hollywood bus tour to visit the Hollywood Sign and Hollywood Boulevard, ending our day having lunch.

Day 3
Universal Studios then having lunch at universal city walk

Day 4
Hanging at home doing nothing sounds about right, perhaps planning a nice beautiful massage and self care day.

Day 5
We would go dancing at Club Soulside, in Long Beach at Dipiazzas, where we would enjoy a couple cocktails and pizza.
