We had the good fortune of connecting with Hiram Hernandez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hiram, why did you pursue a creative career?
Because I have a deep-seated passion for creating and expressing myself through sound. Also I don’t know how to do anything else.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I spend most of my time writing and producing music in the hard rock and metals genre. What I feel sets me apart is that I don’t shy away from getting the best out of my artists. Getting the best take, flushing out an idea until we all have goose bumps from it. It definitely wasn’t easy because some of the bands I’ve worked with have been people who inspired me to be a musician in the first place. But I’ve learned that we all share the same motivation to do the best work and be the best at what we do. I want people to know that they should always do what they love. Even if it doesn’t pay you a fortune right away or even ever. Doing what you’re truly passionate about makes you the happiest.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m taking these fools to skid row and teaching them to be thankful for what they got.
