We had the good fortune of connecting with Inessa Chimato and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Inessa, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
I wouldn’t call myself business, but as an individual who is positive, always improving; working on myself, looking for ways to grow and better my life, I get a lot of feedback from followers and friends that I brighten their day, or answer the question they had, or help them live through their hardship with my positivity and great outlook on life. To me, It’s a biggest compliment knowing I am making somebody’s day better in one way or other.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As our life changes and takes on new levels of being and creating, as it pushes us to get out of our comfort zone and understand that we are beings with so many possibilities – We are expanding, learning, changing – I realized that I can’t associate myself with just being one thing anymore. After trying and exploring so many different ways of being in front of the camera for the past 10 years, I feel now that I want to grow in other directions as well. Now is the moment of change. If I look back at what I have done within the years, I am truly proud of myself: runways, catalogs, promo modeling, commercials, workshops, photoshoots, acting, working alongside big names.
Did it come with challenges? Of course. I think that’s the beauty of life: to overcome the obstacles in whatever it is you are doing. You will do great if you know your goals, if you understand what needs to be done to get there, take steps towards it, get tips from different sources, to not take things for granted and, most importantly, to keep being respectful, professional, reliable and humble.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have been living in Los Angeles for over 8 years now, so I have my favorite places, but I would still find out what my friend is into: touristy spots or something cool and unique. Hollywood Blvd is never my desire to show anyone, for example, but if they never been we would stop by there ( cause I guess it’s a big thing, right?) . The beauty of LA is that it represents so many different things and cultures, so driving around to different areas already shows a lot: drive by downtown and the beach, then I will drive them to mountain-y area, desert close by is always fun to show.
“Priscilla’s Coffee” or “Blue Bottle” are my favorite coffee places; “Sage” or “Sun Cafe” are my favorite vegan spots and I think there are lots of vegan Thai places around that are soooo good.
But as I mentioned, a lot would depend on a person I am showing things to.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would say that everything I am and have in my life is the result of combination of things: friends and family, past relationships, books, all the online motivational resources, other people’s stories, the times we are living through, etc. So, My shoutout is to LIFE!
