We had the good fortune of connecting with Isaac Rau and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Isaac, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
Sometimes I need to be their friend, sometimes I need to be their mentor, and sometimes I need to be their father. Knowing when to wear which hat around my three children, including twins.

Facilitating their interaction with other children so they feel most at home amongst groups of people. Trying my best to build and develop their social skills and emotional development. Learning common sense and etiquette through social contact will help them be accepted in many different social groups.

Teaching them to understand other cultures and accepting people based on the merits of their actions. This gives them the tools to determine who they wish to share the fixed moments of their life with.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I got my start in the digital marketing industry in 1999. I’ve had to pleasure to work with two ground floor employees at Google when they were a less than 100 employee company. I got to take part in the first ever Adwords campaign occurring in the travel vertical, and was also a tester for YouTube ads after the Google acquisition. Over the last 20 years I’ve seen what does and doesn’t work and try to apply the positive finding towards how I operate Proactive SEO Solutions.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Having been born and raised in Santa Monica, I’d take them to Station 26 to go skateboarding and body boarding. I think one summer me and my friends took the Big Blue Bus #8 there almost every day.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My amazing wife for providing a structure where I can focus my attention on my business and clients during the day. Also, my incredible son and daughters for feeding me with their energy on a daily basis. And, my super cool and talented team for continuing to start early with me at 7am every day and bring their enthusiasm for this journey to build our company and the interests of our clients.
