We had the good fortune of connecting with Isidoro Perez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Isidoro, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success would have to be the people. All people. I need to inspire people and share their stories as an actor. My purpose and the service I give to my community is to help people see that there will be a brighter day, and they can accomplish anything they put their mind to. Most importantly, to make them feel seen, heard, and loved. My service, business, and philosophy has always been centered around people, and my community.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have several projects coming out soon, and I can’t wait to share more about them so stay tuned!

This journey has not been easy but it has been so rewarding. Late nights, early mornings, the tears, the laughs, and the stories make it all worth it. My upbringing was pretty rough. Me and my family lived in hotels for awhile, and struggled to make ends meet, so to me this is a cake walk. Every time I think something is going wrong professionally and I can’t take it, there’s a part of me that grounds myself and remembers where I come from. I do this because I love everything about it. The ups and the downs, it’s all part of the job to me. I take it on the chin, adapt, and keep applying pressure. The biggest difference about me is that I don’t run. Time under tension only makes your stronger and that’s what I’m here to do. Waking up and having auditions, headshot appointments, and side hustles is a blessing. I hope the pressure keeps coming, and I’m prepared for it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love anything that bring people together. So when you come to L.A. you have to go see a Dodger game. You see people from all over the city come out to show live and support to our hometown heroes. After that you got to go check out Cities Restaurant & Lounge in East L.A. They have live events, the energy is always high, and the food and drinks are top notch. It’s a great place to meet people and have a good time.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Wow. There are so many people who deserve a shoutout. I have been blessed to meet so many people that have given me wisdom, and inspiration. My friend Caleb Feemster has been a big blessing through this journey and keeping me strong in my faith. My manager, Victoria Monroe has been the biggest supporter I’ve ever had in my life. Abbie Cobb and Chelsea Ricketts have always been like family to me and help with all my auditions, and prep work for any job that I book. I also need to give a huge shoutout to my friend and training partner, Mike Hansen. I think one of the most difficult things that I’ve ever had to go through has been navigating manhood. Mike has always been a great blueprint of what it means to be a man. He keeps me disciplined, honorable, and genuine. He never has a lack of motivation and whenever I’m feeling down he’s always there to keep me going. I look up to him a lot and it’s been a blessing to have him in my life.
