Meet Israel Tejeda | Music Manager

We had the good fortune of connecting with Israel Tejeda and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Israel, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Consistency is key. Working hard without expecting a quick return is crucial for staying consistent. I noticed a big change in how many clients I was working with on a monthly basis once I started thinking this way. It’s all about putting in the effort day in and day out, even when you don’t see immediate results. Over time, this approach builds trust and credibility with your clients, leading to a steady increase in business. It’s also important to learn how to pivot when things don’t work out as planned. Being flexible and open to change helped me understand what works.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My focus is digital marketing and project/music management. I’ve been doing marketing for 14 years now, working at different levels with small family-owned businesses to larger companies. My goal was to ultimately land a multi-year contract with a company for project management or marketing. This wasn’t an easy task to set for myself right at the beginning, but not too long after, I managed to get my first 6-month contract as a marketing manager for a music instrument business in Torrance, California. This opportunity alone motivated me to stay with the business long-term.
None of it was easy; there were a lot of hiccups along the way, but it was ultimately worth the headaches. The one thing I kept in mind throughout the struggles was to appreciate the journey. The journey is beautiful because it’s the story, and not just anyone’s story—it’s your story! What I want the world to know is that there are no limits in life, only the limits that you give yourself. If you believe in and love what you do, then it will always make sense! My business is open to dreamers, people who have purpose and want to grow!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Most of my friends and family are back in the east coast so I know that most of them would appreciate a good authentic Mexican restaurant. I would immediately take them to Frida’s Restaurant in Torrance, CA. They have delicious Mexican plates and the tacos hit the spot! Ola Restobar is another spot that me and my wife enjoy all of the time. We’ve gone there for the last 5 years! Both spots have amazing food, great deals and good music! I would take my friends out for the hikes in Hollywood or the valley. Take walks through Venice beach and Santa Monica. For nightlife, I would take them to Catch one La, or Elevate lounge.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I really want to shout out my team at UnreleasedHQ.com. Unreleased is a show that my closest friends and I created to give a platform to upcoming music artists. At this event, we showcase and capture performances of unreleased music with a 4K camera, and we audio engineer every performance. We also give feedback and encourage our audience to give feedback to our artists as well! This event isn’t just a showcase; we’ve successfully built a community for creatives in the heart of LA! If it wasn’t for this team, I would have never been so heavily involved in the music industry. Being the host of this show allows me to continue building my credibility within the industry. If you’re in LA, this is an event you must attend!
Lastly, but definitely not least, I want to give a big shout-out to my fiancée Yesi for the endless support she gives me. They say there always a stronger woman behind the man, that’s what she is for me.
