We had the good fortune of connecting with Ivy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ivy, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is my genuine passion for Lash Trip LA. I’ve always wanted to be a business owner, but it had to be something that I was 100% invested in and would have a long lasting interest in. I love eyelashes and the power they have to boost your confidence. Okay, so cool I know what I want to sell, but what is going to set me aside from every other lash brand? Then it came to me, why not incorporate art within my collections? Since then, it’s been fun creating my collections and delivering it with an experience. My passion and love for Lash Trip LA shows, and that is what is making me successful.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I think what sets me apart from others is my natural “go-getter” drive. I’ve always strived for success and put my all into what I do. I’m most proud of the fact that I’m young, but very independent. I began working from the moment I was able to because I refused to depend on anyone. I received my Bachelors degree from CSULB at 20 years old with $0 in debt, and even though I’m not utilizing that degree today, it taught me self-discipline. I am where I am today because I began making decisions that made me happy regardless of outside opinions. I’ve learned to not live your life according to someone else’s standards. My brand, Lash Trip LA is inspired by psychedelics, but more so my first experience with psilocybin mushrooms. I’ve been through significant character development because of my experiences with psychedelics.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Lately I’ve been feeling more in touch with nature, so I would probably take them to a morning hike in Palos Verdes or the beach. If my friend was feeling risky, we could also micro-dose some magic mushrooms at a park with a beach view. Food wise, I would suggest going to Dave’s Hot Chicken, the Griddle cafe, Monty’s or Howlin’ Ray’s depending on the mood. LA is flooded with good bars and restaurants but the top 3 would be Toca Madera, Tempo Cantina & Javier’s. Going to Griffith Observatory is definitely a must, the view is great and I would also catch a show at the Planetarium *nerd moment* it’s honestly so cool. But what is a trip without some cute Instagram worthy pictures? The best places to take some pictures and catch a quick vibe would be the Broad museum or the Museum of Ice Cream. To end the trip I would take my friend on a Duffy boat ride in Long Beach and bar hopping down 2nd street!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My main shoutout has to go to my friend Gabe, I wouldn’t be doing any of this if it wasn’t for him. Watching him pursue his dream inspired me to pursue mine. I also want to give a shoutout to my parents, close friends and family that spread good energy onto my brand. Shoutout to my Lash Trip LA Influencers for all of your love and support. Lastly, shoutout to everyone that has supported me in any way, I’m truly very thankful!
