Meet Jack Menghini | Singer-Songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jack Menghini and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jack, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Music has always made me happy because it gives me a safe space to fully feel my emotions, whether it’s joy, sadness, or just the need to move and dance. About two years ago, I discovered an even deeper joy in creating music myself. I was caught singing in a guitar class where I barely knew how to play, and my group encouraged me to perform with them. Singing in front of a full auditorium was nerve-racking, but it also lit a spark I didn’t know I had. Since then, music has not only been something I listen to, but a part of who I am and how I express myself while hoping to inspire others to pursue their true passions in life. I currently am a independent artists and have been able to do so much singing at my undergrad singing the national anthem at LMU women’s basketball game and graduate school singing at USC as well. I genuinely want to get some gigs and go on tour some day and have big dreams and ambitions!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Aside from music, I am pursuing my Master of Science in Digital Media at USC, after completing my undergraduate studies at Loyola Marymount University. The journey to where I am today was far from easy. I started in retail and worked a variety of odd jobs before landing internships and eventually building over three years of marketing experience. What I’m most proud of is pushing through those challenges and proving to myself that persistence pays off. The best advice I’ve received along the way is to network like your life depends on it and to develop an appetite for rejection. This is because learning not to take it personally is what sets you apart. As a brand, I aim to inspire others through creativity, both in my professional work and my music. Most importantly, I want to give back, support those in need, and be the beacon of hope I once needed myself. As more the music I have had to work really hard it is not easy I started all alone but now have access to more resources and connections that have helped mentor me and help me understand the industry better and will be releasing a lot of new music soon so stay tuned!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love sports, so I’d definitely start by taking them to an LAFC game, dodger game, lakers. The energy and atmosphere are incredible and such a unique LA experience. From there, I’d take them to Century City Mall for some shopping and food, and then head over to Playa Vista and my alma mater, Loyola Marymount’s campus, which has one of the best views of the city. For the beach, I’d say Redondo or a scenic drive along Malibu, where you get the full coastal experience. And of course, no trip to LA would be complete without checking out some of the amazing museums. we’d stop at The Getty for the views and art, The Broad for the contemporary exhibits, and a few others that make LA such a cultural hub. Moreover, I love music as well so we would have to catch a concert or go to the grammy museum for a live set a more personal show or go where there is live music.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I believe my family deserves the biggest shoutout. They’ve always supported me in every new endeavor, especially music, and their encouragement gave me the confidence to fully pursue this path. I also want to recognize my friend Grant L’Heureux, a talented guitarist who gave me incredible morale support and helped me find the courage to get back on stage after the first time i sang in that said guitar class and when it felt intimidating at first.
