Meet Jackie Sinclair | Creative Entrepreneur & Speaker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jackie Sinclair and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jackie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I had followed the script. You know the one…get a good job, climb the ladder, build the life. And I did. I held a high-level HR and admin role, managed large teams, and carried responsibilities that stretched far beyond my job title. From the outside, it looked like I was exactly where I was supposed to be.
But behind the scenes, the pace was taking a toll. I was living in constant motion, always on, always solving the next problem. Then the stress started to show up in quiet ways: a racing heart, sleepless nights, and eventually, a twitch in my eye that wouldn’t stop. My body was whispering what I didn’t yet want to admit: this wasn’t sustainable.
Then came the moment that made everything crystal clear. I was diagnosed with early-stage cervical cancer. That was the line in the sand.
During my recovery from surgery, something inside me shifted. I had time to think, to breathe, to see my life from the outside looking in. I realized I didn’t want to go back to the version of success I had built. So I started something new. With nothing but a laptop and a Gmail account, I quietly launched a virtual assistant business from my couch.
By the time I returned to my corporate role, I was already working with clients. The transition wasn’t easy; I was pulling double duty, healing while hustling—but I knew it was temporary. I refused to trade one health crisis for another. I set a deadline, held the vision, and by the three-month mark, I was fully booked.
That’s when I walked away from corporate for good.
Since then, my business has evolved in ways I never imagined. From VA work to social media management to full-blown content strategy, I now lead Jackie Sinclair & Co., a content agency that helps entrepreneurs turn their ideas into digital assets that build visibility and momentum across every platform.
But what I do now isn’t just about content. It’s about clarity. It’s about freedom. It’s about helping people feel seen and supported so they can build a business that actually supports them.
I didn’t have a perfect roadmap. What I had was a moment of raw truth, a whole lot of heart, and the decision to choose life over burnout.
And that changed everything.

What should our readers know about your business?
At Jackie Sinclair & Co., we help small business owners turn one powerful idea into an entire content ecosystem. That includes blogs, newsletters, social posts, video outlines, and more. Through my signature method, The Social Cycle®, we go far beyond traditional content repurposing. This is about reimagining how content can work for you, so you can stay visible, build trust, and grow your business without burning out in the process.
Think of us as your content fairy godmother, just with Google Docs and a proven system. We take your expertise and ideas and plug them into a streamlined workflow that continues to produce even when you’re offline. The result is a steady stream of content that sounds like you, feels like you, and works across every platform. You stay top of mind without having to be everywhere at once.
My journey here hasn’t been a straight line. There were seasons filled with exhaustion, self-doubt, and more browser tabs open than I care to admit. But I kept going. I leaned into systems. I learned to ask for help. I gave myself permission to let go of what drained me; outsourcing not just parts of my business, but also everyday tasks like house cleaning, laundry, and accounting. That freed up more time I could spend with my family and focus on the work that truly lights me up.
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that you don’t have to do everything to be successful. You just need the right support and a strategy that honors your voice, your time, and your energy.
Your voice is your power. At Jackie Sinclair & Co., we’re here to help you share it in a way that is sustainable, strategic, and fully aligned with the business you’re building and the life you want to lead.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This question is great, I actually operate a boutique travel agency: Sinclair Vacations – so this is an easy question for me!
Here’s how we’d start, I’d want us to dive right into some desert luxury. We’d probably start with lunch at Parker Palm Springs. The place just has this colorful, playful vibe that makes you feel like you’re on vacation the second you walk in. I love grabbing a cocktail and just soaking up the poolside atmosphere.
After lunch, I’d take us over to The Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage for a spa day. Honestly, those mineral pools with the mountain views are pure magic. Just sitting there, surrounded by that calm, it’s like the desert’s way of helping you recharge. It’s the perfect moment to slow down and really soak in the peacefulness.
Then we’d spend some time wandering around El Paseo in Palm Desert. It’s more than just shopping—it’s an experience. There are these charming galleries and unique boutiques everywhere. I love finding little gems and then settling in at one of the sunny patios with a coffee, just people-watching and soaking up the vibe.
And to finish off the day, dinner at Kiki’s is a must. The atmosphere is so lively, it feels like you’re dining with friends. Their food is always a hit. It’s that kind of place where the food tastes as good as the company feels.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My deepest gratitude goes to my husband. He is my rock, my business partner, and the steady hand that has guided me through every leap, pivot, and late-night brainstorm. I’m also incredibly thankful for the amazing women I’ve had the privilege to work alongside over the years: clients, mentors, and fellow entrepreneurs who have shown me that success comes in many forms. And to my parents, who have been my biggest cheerleaders from the very beginning. They continue to encourage me and share my journey with pride wherever they go.
