We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaclyn Francis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaclyn, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I like to look at risk taking as an opportunity to have fun with life. Growing up we are so constricted on how we go through life. We’re basically taught that there is a certain way we are meant to live and a specific standard on what it is to be successful. Go to school, get a degree, find a secure job, get married, buy a house, have a family. To me that is so boring! How are you ever supposed to find your purpose or figure out your truest potential without stepping outside the safety zone and taking risks?

My mindset about everything is that it will always work out the way it is supposed to. To me, failure is never an option because at the end of the day failing is solely just learning a lesson that helps get you to the next place. Once you trust yourself and trust that the universe will always support you, risk becomes this force that expands you more than any job or degree can. It shows you that you’re able to shake up the narrative and live life the way you want. Whether that’s in moving across country, changing jobs, starting your own business, or investing in a hobby. Risk is always worth the reward because your giving yourself something that playing it safe never can.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Sesh is a platform that connects users to a highly vetted network of SoCal Reiki Healers so they can seamlessly book and experience Energy Healing from the comfort of home.

My business was created because I wanted society to have easier access into the world of Energy Healing. It takes time, research, and hours out of your schedule to find and heal with a practitioner you can trust. Sesh does all the work for you so you can focus on healing your energy. All our Healers are highly vetted and always bring the Sesh to you!

I’m most excited about our mission. Sesh is on a mission to add personal energy into the spectrum of mind, body, and spirit.

Building a business for the first time is no simple task, but it is worth it. You learn so much about yourself and grow tremendously during the process. Navigating all the ups and downs truly shows you what you’re capable of and how badly you want your company to succeed.

I want the world to understand that everything is energy. What you put into your business and how you think about who you are as a Founder is exactly what you’re going to get out of it. It’s the exact reason why people should start taking care of their energy, because you are the creator of your life and if you’re energy isn’t being cared for you’re doing yourself an injustice.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My go to restaurant is Nobu in Malibu. I don’t eat sushi but you cannot beat the atmosphere and drinks!

I also love going to a good comedy show, it’s always a blast and easy to get tickets night of!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would not be here today with out the incredible support of my Reiki Healers. Sesh is based on having a highly vetted network of SoCal Reiki Healers who always bring the healing to you. So, without them my company would not be what it is today.

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting many Reiki Healers along the way. My first Reiki experience changed my life, it made me want to become certified. And it’s through those past healers and teachers who I am also so grateful for because without them I would have never went on this journey in becoming an Entrepreneur.
