We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaclyn Urban Luna and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaclyn, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
What I’ve discovered is that the message I’m here to bring through my business as a vehicle, will not let me go. This means that to keep going or give up is really irrelevant, as long as I’m tuned in and trusting the voice of my purpose that wants to expressed through my and my work.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I became the relationship coach I needed to experience the deep fulfillment I craved in my marriage and thought might not be possible. I was a life coach and was seeking the kind of comprehensive support with an accessible style for my relationship and I couldn’t find it anywhere:

1. I wanted a fully comprehensive model for relating versus the standard models which focus on singular aspects of relationship

2. I needed support in experiencing deep satisfaction in my marriage with a very different partner who doesn’t do this work nor does he resonate very much with lots of verbal processing and dialoguing, which I found most of the offerings require.

So with my life coaching, somatic skills training and erotic embodiment tools combined with the patchwork of my learnings from various relationship trainings, I’ve created a comprehensive model that speaks to women on both a spiritual level and self-agency level and teaches all 4 primary relational skills: how to create satisfying sex, emotional intimacy, loving connection, and shared purpose, and how to bridge it all so it’s actually accessible for women with a partner who is radically different and isn’t growth or spiritually oriented like you.

Most offerings focus on just 1 or 2 of these aspects and assume the tools are resonant and accessible for your partner (some are but a vast majority are not).

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
sunday – ecstatic dance on venice beach & relaxing beach day, walk santa monica promenade monday – six flags for roller coaster thrills, castaic lake for late afternoon picnic, outdoor boat cinema
wednesday – kayaking in long beach (naples island) and terrenea resort for sunset
thursday – universal studios for magical fun
friday – catalina island for the day
saturday – rooftop yoga, farmers market, the getty and catch show in the planetarium, rooftop bar or speakeasy (weather pending) downtown with live music/show

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Juliet Trnka, my spiritual life & business mentor, who literally was an answer to a prayer. I prayed for support and she messaged me just a few days later. We had a powerful and magical conversation and we began to work together immediately. I’ve never felt so loved and championed by a business mentor before, and am deeply grateful and in awe of our synchronous connection (there are even more coincidences, it’s pretty cool! I’d also like to shoutout my amazing husband, Miguel. He is my steady rock and supports my dreams with both his supportive words and actions. He has backed me financially as I’ve invested in myself and cheers me on when I succumb to self -doubt. I feel so grateful for his love and support – my heart could burst!
