We had the good fortune of connecting with Jade Lee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jade, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand, @fuwud_bae, is my ability to create engaging and authentic food content that resonates with my audience. I have a unique skill for showcasing new restaurants and dishes with lively voiceovers, detailed descriptions of flavors, and an emphasis on freshness and quality. This personal, approachable style combined with my focus on visually appealing, Instagram-worthy content helps build trust and engagement with my followers. Additionally, my strategic collaborations and giveaways help foster community interaction and expand my reach.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I first started posting for fun back in 2019, thinking it would just be another “foodsta” like every other girl out there. But slowly, it turned into something much bigger—what began as a hobby started growing into a career I never expected. I think what sets me apart from others is my authentic voice and genuine passion for food, which comes through in every piece of content I create. I don’t just showcase restaurants; I dive deep into the details, sharing what makes each experience special—from the freshness of ingredients to the vibe of each place. My approachable and lively style makes my audience feel like they’re on this foodie adventure with me. Before this, I was working in auditing at a Big 4 firm, which is such a drastic difference from what I do now. I think having that accounting and corporate background sets me apart from most influencers in this space.

Honestly, I had to teach myself everything from scratch. I didn’t go to school for marketing or anything related to social media, so there was a lot of trial and error along the way. But I learned that the hardest step is always the first one. If you keep putting it off or denying yourself the chance, you’re wasting your own potential. Taking that leap and pushing through the challenges is what got me to where I am today. It wasn’t easy, but it was so worth it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting for a week, I’d want to give them the ultimate experience! Here’s how we’d spend the week, hitting up my favorite spots to eat, drink, and hang out.

Breakfast: Chef Tony’s in Arcadia – Can’t go wrong with some delicious dimsum for breakfast!

Morning Activity: Yang Si Guan Scalp Spa – I’d treat them to a luxurious scalp massage, because why not start the trip feeling fresh and pampered? If they prefer a facial, I recommend the Hydrofacial at BG Aesthetics located at the Hilton hotel in San Gabriel.

Lunch: Thanks Pizza in Koreatown – I recommend everyone try Korean pizza at least once in their life! My personal favorite is the pumpkin pizza because its sweet! A nice pick-me-up at Cafe de Mama would also be nice. My personal favorite is the injeolmi latte.

Afternoon Activity: LUMEE DIY in Santa Monica – We can make cute DIY crafts together while catching up and chatting! And for shopping, I would recommend Goodies, a cute home goods store. They have several locations but the one I usually go to is inside Atwater Village. Everything is $25 and under!

Dinner: Omakase by Osen in Silverlake – I have to treat my friend to one of my favorite omakase spots in LA! This will truely wow them with how delicious and delicate all their dishes are. Another dinner spot I recommend is Laya in West Hollywood. It looks so beautiful inside and their kabobs and hummus are amazing.

Evening Activity: Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills – Window shop, check out the high-end boutiques, and finish off with dessert from Cassetta—the non-dairy ice cream spot that’s totally Insta-worthy.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout to my amazing friends and family! I wouldn’t be where I am today without your constant support and encouragement. From every like, share, and comment on my posts to cheering me on during my craziest ideas, your love and positivity keep me going! Thank you for believing in me, pushing me forward, and always having my back. You all inspire me to keep creating and reaching for more! Grateful for each and every one of you!
