We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamall Anthony and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jamall, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
In 2018 I packed up my 98 Ford Mustang with everything I could fit into it and moved to California from Pennsylvania to pursue singing/songwriting so that’s the biggest risk I’ve ever taken and almost 6 years later and I’m grateful everyday for taking that leap of faith.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The music industry is a tough business so you must celebrate all your wins no matter how big or small. I’m from a very small town, Coatesville, PA and it was a tough place but it built tough skin. I think the thing that sets me apart is my “I can do anything” attitude. I truly believe if you want something in life just put in the effort and you can achieve all things. I had a lot of help on this music journey and my friends Nick Bailey & Ryan Ogren took me under their wing many years ago and gave me the push to move to LA and pursue songwriting. It wasn’t easy and still isn’t as it’s a tough business and you will have ups and downs but the key is to stay consistent and trust your dopeness. I’ve been blessed enough to land songs with Chris Brown, Jordin Sparks, Sevyn Streeter and a host of other amazing artists and producers. I want my story to be remembered as that guy gave everything but up.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So I definitely would have to take my best friend to Roscoes Chicken & Waffles just off the fact that we don’t have that back in my city. One of my favorite places is also COD seafood house and check this out …I’m allergic to shellfish lol but the chicken lo mein is amazing then we’d hit a rooftop bar like Mama’s Shelter for some drinks and views.
