We had the good fortune of connecting with Jami Fisher and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jami, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My husband and I are painting contractor. I have Lyme disease and the painting was too much on my body so we looked up my dream which was to own a coffee shop. We found Perfetto Caffe and this is how it started. !

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been in the restaurant business my entire life. I worked att the honey moon cafe in pismo where I gained my love for coffee, art and conversation. I left the restaurant business and got my contractor license and worked along side my husband for 15 years at pinnacle pAinting. Because I have active Lyme siderite out a lot of strain on my body and mind. My husband and I agreed to look for a coffee shop because that was my true passion… coffee art and people. I’m also an artist and I love stencil, charcoal and refinishing furniture

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh that’s tough! There are so many great areas around here from the beach, the lake and the mountains. We are close to the village in Ag, Aj spurs is our favorite steak house, hapy bistro in pismo. Also Avila valley barn. And Avila beach the town is cute. If I were to do some big shopping I’d go to slo downtown slo. There is a lot to do there. But really I’m a beach girl who loves the hills

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to thank the south county chamber for being a big part of our business. Deltina roasters for stepping up the last minute to bring us there espresso, back porche bakery in slo for the pastries, Antonio maragliotti for his home made focaccia, Farbs bakery , Anthony from fresh baked tees and our friends and family
