We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamie Munoz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jamie, how has your pespective on work-life balance evolved over time?
I have worked really hard over the years to find what I believe is the right work/life balance. In the world of being an entrepreneur and working with a ton of them, I have realized that what works best is literally finding the right balance and knowing how work and personal should intertwine in a healthy way. That doesn’t mean it is an even split and it doesn’t mean that sometimes one will need more focus than the other. It is about flexibility and being intentional. Looking ahead into both your work and personal life is about getting good at forecasting and strategy. Say for instance you know that this quarter you have alot on your plate at work – you have to train a new team member, complete several work projects and possibly work a little OT. Accept that as your reality and you must love what you do and want to be successful in order to do it. So that means if at the same time you were asked to join the PTA at school, organize a fund raiser oh yeah and you decided to start that new side hustle as a pet sitter…well look who just overloaded their plate by saying YES to things at the wrong time. You have to decide what you can handle at any given time in order to create YOUR ideal balance and keep your sanity. Maybe you can say yes to some things and no to others but pick them up again later and that is ok. Set yourself up for success and know what you can handle to create your perfect work life balance. Take control.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am a primarily virtual Fractional Integrator(COO) for Companies Running (or who want to run) on EOS® – the Entrepreneurial Operating System. I have been an Integrator since 2015 but recently have become Fractional (part-time) working simultaneously with several companies at a time for the last year. Working directly with Visionaries, Owners and Leadership teams gives me life! Taking a company vision down to the ground and giving it life with clear systems in place, a compelling vision and the right people to do it is my passion! I love to facilitate meetings, mentor Leaders and make sure we set and meet the right company goals together.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
