We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaqi, Ava, and Leah Clements and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaqi, Ava, and Leah, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Shortly after Ava & Leah started modeling when they were seven years old, companies from all around the world were offering to send them their clothes to model. The girls would wear the clothes once, maybe twice, but for one reason or another they’d all end up in a bin inside their garage. The clothes, although beautiful and unique in their own way, either lacked comfort, quality, or just didn’t fit their own personal styles. After a few years of the same thing, and the girls then entering their “tween” years, they had an idea to design their own brand of clothing where they could truly have it all. An all encompassing brand without having to sacrifice quality for comfort or comfort for style.
An elevated brand without all the shine and shimmer, fluff and frills that most brands for their age group offered. A brand that had an elevated, more mature look with pieces that could be mixed and matched to create endless outfits. Ultimately they wanted to create a brand that was unlike any other brand they had ever come across. This is how KAVEAH came to be.

What should our readers know about your business?
Kaveah is a Los Angeles-based fashion label by Ava & Leah Clements that curates high-quality essentials for the next-gen global girl. We founded Kaveah with a clear purpose: to create a space where style meets sustainability, where creativity knows no bounds, and where every garment tells a story of excellence and innovation with a focus on style, not trends. We just introduced our VIP Program where girls their age can earn commission, free merchandise, photoshoot opportunities, early access to new collections and more.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Although we are in LA a lot for work, we live in South Orange County. When we have friends and family visiting us from out of town, we love taking them to the beach. Laguna Beach is our favorite! We love all of the shops and restaurant there! We also love taking a volleyball along with us and playing any chance we get!
