We had the good fortune of connecting with Jarod Farver and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jarod, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I believe it chose me. Art started for me early in school just like most people. I always enjoyed being creative, both Music and Art. Painting on canvas led me to selling some of my first work at age 9. I was pretty sure this was the career I was looking for. I need a creative career to be my happiest in life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My new collection has over 100 layers of Mixed Media on wood panel. Very abstract and free but structured with straight lines of color. I’m using a new color pallet and a lot of solid and translucent white. I’ve been getting a lot of positive attention from my new collection.

It’s always been a fun journey for me. Building confidence along the way while making sales and getting into galleries. I’ve had the same Art Dealer for almost 10 years now. We have a great relationship and he has always kept me and my work relevant. Even after 10 years, I’m still at the beginning stages of my art career. I see the next 10 being the real break through of my career.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The people who have pushed me and gave me the support though out my career have definitely been my parents. My Art Dealer Alexander Salazar pushed my career forward to what it is today. All the people who supported and bought my work for the last 25 years and many Artists along the way.
