We had the good fortune of connecting with Jas Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jas, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
We honestly always envisioned ourselves as business owners since we were younger, but never did we imagine our first business would be in the food & entertainment industry. Conscious Concoction which is now also known as Culinary ENT., was not founded based on a business plan or profit margin analysis…it was purely passion. Everyone close to us used to always come over and we would love to cook and entertain and it became the norm. We would go to the farmers market multiple times a week and create our favorite dishes with a more organic and natural approach. In 2018 after we came back home from a trip that shifted our thoughts of creating in the kitchen for fun to doing it as a legit business and offering it to the world – we formed our LLC. Since then we have been booked by many local Sacramento clients to celebrities and professional athletes around the world. So the full thought process essentially was to always follow our passion and do what makes us happy because if you do what you love and begin sharing those gifts with the world, the return and the profit will always follow.

When we did form our LLC our thoughts behind starting our business was to be able to feed all types of people across the globe their favorite dishes that were curated with a conscious approach. We wanted people to be able to have a full experience and enjoy food with their loved ones so our thoughts were to provide various types of options to our clients, which in return from a business standpoint meant our business would have multiple ways of making money. So we really didn’t plan our business out, life just kind of led us there but once we did take it serious we did tons of planning and strategizing and till day we are continuously improving and adding things to our business so that it may continue to grow.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The unique thing about our business is me and my husband are really each others better half’s when it comes to business too. We know each others strengths and weaknesses so it allows us to work around that and maximize our potential. We started off with both of us in the kitchen since we had the passion, but as our business grew we quickly realized that I needed to spend more time working on the business growing and scaling while my husband focused on mastering the kitchen. We are proud to be in a position where we can both work on our business but focus on the areas that we love. My passion is business development and management, while his is concocting amazing dishes so being a dynamic duo allowed us to scale our business quickly. Nothing worth having comes easy, and although we wanted to quit many times we always kept going because we loved it so much. We learned to always follow our heart but to follow-up with hard work and dedication, because when you have all of that you can curate a lifestyle that you enjoy on a daily basis. We’d like the world to know that The Joneses are building a Health is Wealth empire and this is only the beginning! We want everyone to join us on our journey.
