We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Paige Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine Paige, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
I’m not so sure there is a balance anymore, and by that I mean its not one vs another; Life vs Work, the two are one in and the same. I find that I am exceedingly fortunate in the career that I have thrust my way into. Cosplay & content creation has given me the freedom to wake up with a passion, it has open doors and set me on the path to what I had previously considered a far-fetched dream. So, I’m not sure that there is a “Balance” so much as a new understanding of how to get the most out of each adventure. And, its helpful that I find myself surrounded by likeminded creators, artist and entrepreneurs who are so engaging I forget that we are actually networking!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
This is a tricky question, because in a lot of ways I’m exactly like millions of other creators, cosplayers and artist all over the world who fell in love with characters, so much so that we wanted to become them, or spend hours online debating their merits, origins and histories. So, in that way, I could hand you a list of incredible individuals, many of who’s talent far exceeds my own, but hasn’t received their day in the sun, but the question was to me.

So, if asked, I believe there are two things that separate me from the other remarkable artists, and that’s that I wake up each day with the intention to Elevate. I don’t want to just excel in what I do, but I want to elevate beyond what was asked, and elevate beyond who I was yesterday. If I am invited to a Marvel premiere, I’m not just coming in a gown, no, I design and create a gown inspired by a costume or a character of the film. I strive to engross my self in all parts of the craft be it, acting, directing, stunt work, voiceover, writing, hosting, sewing or design.

I’ve always wanted to be an actress, so when the pandemic right when I was hitting a stride in my field, I needed an outlet, and I all but stumbled onto social media performing. I didn’t realize that the silly costumes I made for myself would brighten someone’s day on the other side of the globe. It was humbling and thrilling. And it led me on a path to fight within this creative battlefield for everyone’s right to express themselves with unashamed glory; no matter your age, sex, creed, orientation, or the one I find myself fighting more often, the color of your skin. I want the world to know that I am here in your corner and support you, your journey and your expression.

And, above all, my primary objective is that as I am climbing the ladder of success, I’m able to turn back around, and help other climb just as high.
I want leave this Earth being remembered for making a difference, and its surreal to me that just a few years ago, I decided to dress up as some of my favorite heroes, and now I am walking the Oscar halls where history is Literally made.

This journey has been unforgettable, and its only getting started.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, as I am writing this it is Feb 5th, and for LA that means over thirty museums—presenting art, cultural heritage, film, natural history, and science opened their doors for free museum day! If I had the opportunity I would take this friend to the Museum of motion Picture Arts. Its a museum that celebrates all things Cinema/Film. On every floor there is something new and fascinating to discover. My favorite instillation is the Oscars room (for obvious reasons) and they even have a stage where you can reenact what it would be like to receive an Oscar of your own! You can, and I have, spent a whole afternoon here.

Then for dinner I’d more than likely take us to weho for some quick eats and dancing!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The Miss America in me wants to say the EGOT winning, UNICEF ambassador Audrey Hepburn for showing me a path of humbling success in a time when the world was quite literally against her but, as I grow in this craft, I’m beginning to see that as more of a surface level response, all be it, an unshakably true one. Audrey has shaped so much of who I am, and who I want to be.

That being said, my greatest supporter, the one who put forth the most unwavering effort into helping my become the woman I am today, was my father. There isn’t anyone on the planet who has crawled over more hot coals for me and my siblings than this man.

He is the one who financed my higher education, and who aided in my discovery and eventual love of literature, fantasy and ultimately creativity.

I don’t know who or what I would be if I didn’t see him constantly in my corner. I know that certainly would not have found my currently level of success and I would not have been able to entertain, uplift and encourage as many people as I get the privilege of doing now,
